Trudeau has stepped in it.

Peter Navarro and Kudlow ripped him apart.

Hope they can put him back together.

Hope they can put him back together.

And if they do, put his eyebrows on correctly this time.

Looks like President Trump is “brow beating” the Canuck Cuck. Wonder what next will fall off the smarmy little twerp? One thing’s for sure - it won’t be Trudeau’s balls, since Trump already kicked those into orbit.

Trump is awesome.

I don’t really want Canada to lower their tariffs on dairy. I think every country should try to be self sufficient on the basics, food being the most critical.

I would rather see tariffs raised in general on all countries.

Prime Minister Centerfold’s poll numbers have been slipping in recent months. This should give them a shot in the arm. Which is probably why Trudeau did what he did.

Trudeau is a spoiled rich kid who thinks the US should pay for Canadas socialist policies. Welcome to the real world. Justin thinks he can talk tough when he has no bargaining power. Canada has been getting a free ride for decades, all he can do now is whine.

And why shouldn’t we be self-sufficient on toilet paper? It’s just trees — they grow back.

If you really want nations to prevent famines, what we really need is to encourage larger inventories of non-perishable food. Instead we TAX those inventories as assets!

Kudlow was shaking mad.

Where does this kid get off thinking he can get away with this kind of stunt? Ethics? Not much.

Agreed.

I’m not suggesting blocking all trade. After all, it’s better to import TP than to do without.

But raise the tariffs enough that American industries have an advantage selling into the American market.

From the get go, Trudeau has given me the creeps.

Something about him is off, beyond being callow.

One reason for Canada's high dairy tariffs is the dominant role the provincial governments play in their agricultural sector.

Some of these trade figures are deceptive because they don't account for the disproportionate influence on these numbers from imports that work to our advantage. For example, the U.S. had about a $17 billion trade deficit with Canada in 2017. But crude oil represents a huge part of U.S. imports from Canada. Eliminate these oil imports, and the U.S. would have a trade SURPLUS with Canada.

I'm sure if you pick and choose which imports to exclude, you can show a trade surplus with every country.

True. But the difference is that in the case of Canada, the oil we import from them has replaced oil we used to import from the Middle East. So it was only a matter of WHICH foreign country supplied the oil.

It's no coincidence that both Canada and Mexico surpassed Saudi Arabia as the largest foreign sources of imported oil to the U.S. within about five years after NAFTA was signed.
