I personally, with no evidence to speak of, think that a non-explosive penetration device somehow made its way to the nuclear testing site in North Korea and caused the facility to “shut down”.
Dropped from a high enough height, even a large iron beam would do sufficient damage, although a very large, nicely shaped, depleted uranium plug would be much more convincing.
And Kim would know that it wouldn’t take much for his palace to accidentally disappear in the same way.
I think do too and did as soon as I heard it, turned to hubby and I bet we blew that thing up...
I think they’re made of Tungsten steel.
Beams are not made of iron.
The USS James E Carter flew a Jolly Roger flag when they returned to port. On 12/4/17 Korea had a big boom. There are no coincidences.
I’ve been reading a lot of articles on kinetic bombardment platforms. Fascinating stuff and certainly possible. The technology involved is not that complicated.
It’s called Rods-From-God.

Even that would likely show up on a seismograph and am not aware of any university or lab reporting a seismic anomaly in that part of the world. If something, like that had happened I doubt if it could be kept secret for very long. People would be pointing it out & speculating. The Trump Haters would be out claiming he’s trying to start WWIII.
Sometimes things are just as they seem.
Rods From God. 20 foot long Tungsten rods with a diameter of a foot. Ceramic coated for heat shielding. Dropped from high orbit. 44,000 fps on impact if not more. Project Thor. Thank Ronaldus Magnus for this.
