CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — A garbage-truck driver who drove into the path of an Amtrak train carrying Republican members of Congress, resulting in a wreck that left a co-worker dead, has been indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and being under the influence.

There certainly do seem to be plenty of our domestic enemies willing to take a train/bullet for their sanctimonious cause....
If his lawyers can get his trial moved to Arlington or Fairfax counties he’ll walk.
Not if he was drinking on the job.
He must been really trashed to pull that stunt
If my job was going around picking-up other people’s garbage I’d probably drink a lot too.
Not that it excuses him.

VA §18.2-51.4 specifies alcohol as the intoxicant. Wonder why none of the articles I just looked at mention the intoxicant...
contrary to popular belief I believe those guys make a decent buck for their edu and skill level.
Maybe the negative responsibility factor and repetitive mindless job function coupled with decent bucks adds to the dilemma
There was a time when the smallest bottle of the cheapest whiskey placed on top of almost anything would make it disappear with no extra fees. Somehow, I think this still works.
This guy deserves the book to be throw at him, if what they say is true. He could have killed many more people. And I come from a trucking family!
This is just wrong and no excuse for it exists!
It looked like a set-up to me. It has taken long enough to get this weak excuse.
