Homeschooling Expands As Parents Seethe Over Liberal Social Engineering And Violence
SHTF Plan ^ | 6-11-2018 | Mac Slavp

Homeschooling rates are skyrocketing as parents are continually getting more and more upset at the leftist social engineering taking place in public schools. The indoctrination is getting so bad, that some parents are even concerned about liberal violence against those who reject the brainwashing.

According to The Washington Times, the recent school shooting at Parkland, Florida, was the last straw for scores of parents. The paper noted that “the phones started ringing at the Texas Home School Coalition, and they haven’t stopped yet.”

“When the Parkland shooting happened, our phone calls and emails exploded,” said coalition president Tim Lambert. “In the last couple of months, our numbers have doubled. We’re dealing with probably between 1,200 and 1,400 calls and emails per month, and prior to that it was 600 to 700.” But according to Natural News, it isn’t just the rampant violence worrying some parents. That’s just the tip of the collectivist agenda iceberg.

Christopher Chin, head of Homeschool Louisiana, told The Times that parents are fed up with “the violence, the bullying, the unsafe environments.” Many parents are also disturbed by the social engineering, which amounts to brainwashing and indoctrination that goes on in a public school. For example, a Minnesota public school is forcing Kindergarten students to study ‘white privilege’.

The left-wing curriculum and common core are also driving parents to remove their children from public schools. Brian D. Ray, who heads up the National Home Education Research Institute, in Salem, Oregon, who’s conducted homeschooling research for 33 years, told The Times that concern over school curriculum has reached the top of the charts for most parents. Ray said the top three reasons that parents choose homeschooling are a desire to provide religious instruction or different values than those offered in public schools; dissatisfaction with the academic

Public schools are a 19th century paradigm that outlived its usefulness in the early 21st century. Its primary strength for most families is as a free daycare.

I saw this coming long ago. Parochial or homeschooling is the way to go.

Anyone with a modicum of mental & moral health should get his/her child out of public school. Especially if the child is a boy — he’ll end up either waving a gun or wearing a dress.

No matter the choice of schooling, Christian parents must be active in their children’s schooling. My kids are in private Christian schools, but even then, you have to keep an eye out...

The lunacy that tolerates using public funds to undermine the cultural heritage of the American people, via indoctrination in public schools, is something fit only for satire--for the theatre of the absurd. Every parent should take the time necessary to counter such pernicious corruption of "educational" processes.

Not "Social" & Not "Just"

Here in California, this abomination is reason enough to get out.

It casually chats about abortion as no big deal, bananas as dildos, how to get the condom on and of course why homosexuality is just keen!

This is REQUIRED for 8th graders! If you try to opt out, they force your kid to sit in the office and contemplate the wall. Translation: we will punish you if you don't chug a lug our propaganda.

If the progressives hadn’t corrupted them, dumbed them down and used them to press their agendas they would still be okay.

From the days when Bella Dodd and others were using education to advance communism (see School of Darkness, in PDF form for download)’ and before, to the present when Bill Ayers is a “respected” educator of teachers the Left has been on the move while many were asleep at the wheel).

And additionally, the kiddies are taught this tripe from the Homosexual terrorist Sam Kellerman:

This crap is taught as "science" when in fact it is cartoon made up by a queer nightclub comedian.

We’re retired homeschoolers. I even got my wife a “gold” watch when we graduated number four.

We started just after the pioneers of homeschooling were finishing up.

It was still a little weird but not unheard of. Now, it’s not uncommon at all.

I kind of wish we were still in the game so we could be an active part of the rebellion.

For those who think you can’t do it. It’s hard, but there are so many helps that anyone can successfully home educate your kids.

The key is diligence and focus.

You’ll see stories about families that graduate each kid by the age of 14, three of them own their own McDonald’s Franchise by the time they’re 16 and the rest are PhD’s at 20. That ain’t the norm. Out of the hundreds of homeschool kids I’ve known, I know exactly two who were at that level. One has gone on to be productive, the other is an idiot who can barely tie his own shoes without someone to tell him to do it.

The other hundreds are flat out normal kids. Most do OK, some struggle.

Our have all split the nest (The last one is on a 600 mile drive as I type for a summer volunteer job). When he gets back, he’ll start his career as a semi driver.

One moved out last week and as of an hour ago is fielding two high paying job offers in the Space industry.

One starts a job at a Christian publisher next week and the other manages the children’s dept as a bookstore.

We let them follow their passions. The Space geek wanted to be a rocket builder when he was six. He followed his dream and works at NASA.

Two love literature.

Number four will be the tradesman. I had a CDL and drove big trucks, buses and some heavy equipment, but semi rigs are the one thing I’ve never driven. I’m jealous.

Parochial schools?

Around here they’re closing up faster than Kmart stores.
No more nuns to teach for free (and some of the lay teachers who sign-up are as nutty as the ones found in public schools).

Come to think of it we knew a few nuns who were off their rockers too.

Yes you do. Our Catholic school seems just as self-conscious about diversity and The Environment(TM) religion as just about any.

I so distrust and disrespect the many countries that don’t allow parents to homeschool their kids. I think there are very few countries where we can.

All my grandkids are either in private or homeschool. A few of the kids follow an outdoor curriculum - they have to spend at least half the day out doors exploring, climbing trees, etc. My 6 year old grandson carries a pocket knife and already knows how to use a compass. I’m impressed to say the least.

Good for you and a job well done by you and your spouse!

A cautionary note to those thinking about home schooling: make certain you have the dedication and time to fulfill your obligation.

When I went back to college over a decade ago I had to brush up on math. Who was my tutor? A sixteen year old home schooled kid who ate calculus like a bet time snack. He was contemplating astrophysics or going to medical school.

White privilege huh?

Okay, how about we just re-segregate the schools then? Then, no people of color will ever again have to be "educated" along side "privileged" whites.

A little trip down history lane.

John Dewey got a bunch of compadres together back in the early part of the 1900s and they planned to change American schools, first by taking over the teacher colleges most importantly Columbia University. They had to work consistently and just under the radar. By 1923, they had begun to change the natural mode of reading where the child learns individual sounds and then puts them all together to form words. That excellent way was replaced with teaching only whole words which causes a number of students to trip up. From this they worked to dumb-down education itself from pre-K all the way through college. After first experimenting in the inner city schools in the 1970s, they were ready to implement social engineering in all public schools.

Interesting fact, after WW2, when American troops helped Japan to get back up on their feet, they installed the American school system, which was then still reliably good. Today, Japan has a good school system, so much so that they are outpacing American students and our student can't read as well nor do math as well.

Dewey's goal was to turn American school children into socialist drones that would do whatever their socialist leaders told them to do.

But then Donald Trump got elected.

I’ve homeschooled my kids off and on for 20+years. They are in great programs but out they come if this sh*t starts.
