Hussein certainly could have done it. If, that is, he had the intelligence and savvy, the intuition and the experience that Donald Trump has. And one more thing that is important- the inclination. Any president since 1953 could have done it if he were Donald Trump.

The approach that Tapper is defending led to nuclear testing, missiles fired over Japan and other allies, and a threat to the west coast of the United States.

I think it’s worth trying an alternative approach now.
