Meghan McCain slammed President Trump on Tuesday for his "buddy-buddy" meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, whom she denounced as a "dictator."
The cohost of ABC’s “The View” and daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said that, though she was initially on board with the summit, she was disturbed by the symbolism of both nations’ flags flying together in Singapore.
“This is a totalitarian communist dictator in the same vein as Hitler — murder, enslavement, imprisonment, sexual violence, starvation, forced abortions, political, racial, religious persecution,” McCain said.
“We are not the same,” she continued. “[Kim’s North Korea] is completely and utterly the closest thing to Hitler’s Germany that exists in modern time. My problem was how far it went with the buddy-buddy, and there was no talk whatsoever of the human rights violations going on in that country.”

I can remember leading up to the November 1985 summit between Reagan and Gorbachev, Phil Donahue wheeled out the late Robert McNamara and McNamara spent an hour lecturing about Reagan and how dangerous he (McNamara) thought Reagan was and that SDI was a completely stupid idea and all sorts of other similar comments. So it seems, just as back then with someone like McNamara and his and LBJ’s record, these people will chide Trump over this as to cover their own inaction and failure.
