U.S. Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Lee on Tuesday invited the Golden State Warriors to Washington, D.C., days after President Trump said the NBA Finals winner would not be welcomed to the White House.
Lee and Pelosi sent a letter to Coach Steve Kerr as the team celebrated its victory with a parade through Oakland.
“In celebration of your victory, we would be delighted to welcome you publicly as a team or personally as families to the United States Capitol,” the Bay Area representatives said. “Please consider this as a blanket invitation whenever your individual schedules allow.”

Being from the Bay Area, I’d cheered for the Giants, Warriors and 49ers nearly all my life. Now that the Warriors and 49ers have decided to go lefty political, only the Giants get my attention. I couldn’t give two sh*ts about those other two teams anymore.

That said, some men, you can't reach. There are lots of hard-core sports fans who may vote with their jersey. Perhaps the Admin has done the math and they think the MAGA benefits will capture new voters in swing states to more than compensate for the lost jersey guys. To wit: maybe the lost Eagles fans will be overwhelmed by a pickup in Steelers fans. While the WH not inviting the Warriors likely won't impact the CA electoral college vote in 2020, I hope the Administration has a plan for (re) capturing the jersey-voting public's heart and vote.

The Democrats do not control the US Capitol. If the GOP leadership wants to prevent this, they can. If the GOP leadership doesn’t want to prevent it and they are fine with Democrats using the US Capitol to stage political events aimed against the president, then we need the GOP leadership to provide us with an explanation.

I got stuck inside that Warriors celebration yesterday. Why can’t they just win and shut up about it.
And with every Dem-BLM stunt, President Trump’s approval rating tick up another notch. He has baited them into a trap. When the President turns on his charm offensive this fall you are going to see a dramatic swing towards Republican candidates. Simple message: elect a Congress that will help me Make America Great Again, or you will end up with absolute obstruction on Capitol Hill. The majority of Americans will vote to protect the Trump Economy.

I think the GOP should not interfere with Pelosi and her invitation to the GSW as this would generate lots of bad publicity for the Dem’s, GSW and the NBA in general.
