More Than 2,300 Suspected Online Child Sex Offenders Arrested During Operation “Broken Heart”
Department of Justice ^ | June 12 2018 | DoJ Office of Public Affairs

Posted on 06/13/2018 10:37:14 AM PDT by euram

The Department of Justice today announced the arrest of more than 2,300 suspected online child sex offenders during a three-month, nationwide, operation conducted by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task forces. The task forces identified 195 offenders who either produced child pornography or committed child sexual abuse, and 383 children who suffered recent, ongoing, or historical sexual abuse or production of child pornography.

The 61 ICAC task forces, located in all 50 states and comprised of more than 4,500 federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies, led the coordinated operation known as “Broken Heart” during the months of March, April, and May 2018. During the course of the operation, the task forces investigated more than 25,200 complaints of technology-facilitated crimes against children and delivered more than 3,700 presentations on Internet safety to over 390,000 youth and adults.

"No child should ever have to endure sexual abuse," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said. "And yet, in recent years, certain forms of modern technology have facilitated the spread of child pornography and created greater incentives for its production. We at the Department of Justice are determined to strike back against these repugnant crimes. It is shocking and very sad that in this one operation, we have arrested more than 2,300 alleged child predators and investigated some 25,200 sexual abuse complaints. Any would-be criminal should be warned: this Department will remain relentless in hunting down those who victimize our children."

The operation targeted suspects who: (1) produce, distribute, receive and possess child pornography; (2) engage in online enticement of children for sexual purposes; (3) engage in the sex trafficking of children; and (4) travel across state lines or to foreign countries and sexually abuse children.

The ICAC Program is funded through the Department’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). In 1998, OJJDP launched the ICAC Task Force Program to help federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative responses to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems or computer technology to exploit children. To date, ICAC Task Forces have reviewed more than 775,000 complaints of child exploitation, which resulted in the arrest of more than 83,000 individuals. In addition, since the ICAC program's inception, more than 629,400 law enforcement officers, prosecutors and other professionals have been trained on techniques to investigate and prosecute ICAC-related cases.

I wonder if there is overlap between these perps and DNC/CGI leadership.

Why did they go to all that trouble when they could just look for pizza places with triangular symbols on them or search the NSA email surveillance for people talking about pizza-related code words? What a waste of taxpayer dollars.

The only part of the article that gives me pause is the “possess” part. There was an article her a few years ago about a guy in England who was guilty of that regarding his computer hard drive, but it turned out it had been placed there by some malicious malware or some such stuff from an internet site.

I assume that they mean people that either possess hard copies, or that possess soft copies that can be affirmatively attributed to them intentionally acquiring it.

I remember back in the days before YouTube was very popular, downloading a video of a music concert and forgetting about it. I then found it in my download folder around a year later and opened it up. It was actually some old (70’s or 80’s) pr0n film that had been intentionally mislabeled by someone. Needless to say, I deleted it, but not before showing my wife what it was and how it happened, so that all doubt was removed.

Nailing people for what is found on their hard drive is a touchy subject and needs to be done correctly.

An aside, probably brought to mind by the word Offender, as well off topic, but I’ve noticed Hillary has sneaked off radar again. This action, sneaking off radar is usually so she can reinvent herself. Wonder what she’ll be the next time she reappears. Animal? Vegetable? Mineral? What?

Trust me, they don’t arrest you for 1 video. These people download hundreds or thousands of them, categorize them and share them. They go to great lengths to document their crimes.

As far as that goes - burn Hillary also.

But, but haven’t we been told by the Session-haters that he isn’t doing anything?

Makes sense. That British case is what gave me pause, but the whole concept has matured since then. i.e. you’re probably right.

One of my friends worked child sex for the SBI in NC. He said it was like shooting fish in a barrel. They wouldn’t waste their time on single use when they are so busy with huge offenders. The court wouldn’t even hear a small case because it could be an innocent mistake.

“Why did they go to all that trouble when they could just look for pizza places with triangular symbols on them”

I looked at the pizza box we got from the local pizza place last night, and saw something vaguely triangular on the logo printed on the top.

More disturbing is my recollection that the pizza slices themselves were all triangular. Every single one.

This was not the first time we’d gotten triangular slices from this place, either.

In fact it suddenly dawned on me that LOTS of pizza places sell triangular slices.

Unfortunately Jeff Sessions isn’t going to do much to crack down on such places.

Actually, the pizza slices are not triangular.

In fact the typical pizza slice is a vertex incorporating an arc. The length of the arc is always a function of the pizza diameter and the angle incorporated into the vertex.

The best pr0n is 1970s pr0n.

Why?

The crazy hairstyles and, um, lack of trimming.

Pretty humorous by today’s (lack of) standards.

This is good but I think the head of the beast goes way up to the political, entertainment, social and corporate elites.
