NJ’S NEW GUN LAWS: HIGHER FEES, EASIER TO CONFISCATE
NJ 101.5 ^ | June 13, 2018 | Mychal Simmons

Six new gun-control laws were enacted Wednesday, including smaller ammunition magazine limits and new "red flag" laws designed to take guns from people deemed dangerous.

Though New Jersey has among the nation’s most restrictive gun-control systems, most Democrats have been pushing for years to enact more, particularly in response to school shootings.

Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald, D-Camden, recalled a Statehouse meeting he had in April 2013 with Connecticut parents whose children were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The cut in the maximum ammunition magazine, from 15 to 10 rounds, is one proposal that those parents emphasized.

“We made a commitment to them on that day that we would get this package of legislation done. I am embarrassed that it has taken us this long,” Greenwald said.

I am so glad that I left that shithole 17 and a half years ago. It is absolutely outrageous how ordinary, law-abiding citizens are treated in that tyrannical state.

You voted for this elitist, statist, billionaire pukes, Nu Joiseyans. Will the thugs in Camden give up their guns? Nope. Time to eat your s—t sandwich with Mayo.

“The cut in the maximum ammunition magazine, from 15 to 10 rounds, is one proposal that those parents emphasized.”

Have any of the schools done anything different since Sandy Hook or Parkland to increase security or prevent this from happening again? Or just harass law-abiding gun owners?

Americans in New Jersey should flee to free states.
But please leave your liberal voting habits in NJ.

It’s just harassment. And stepping on gun rights to make them feel better.

New Jersey’s “Red Flag” law: you go to the po-po and denounce someone whom you don’t like with “he threatened me, he has guns, I’m afraid for my life”. The po-po go to a judge who issues a GVRO and the gun owner is confronted by the po-po at his front door and his guns are seized.

Why is it that the state bird of New Jersey is the upraised middle finger?

Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald, D-Camden should be ashamed to represent Camden if he had any sense of what shame is.

The most segregated state in the Union feels comfortable enough to make these “progressive” choices.

I live in New Jersey.

Yes, it is an expensive Northeastern state.

Pricey to live in.

However, the access to New York City and Philadelphia cannot be ignored. Access to Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, etc.

Fifth Avenue.

Suburbs of New Jersey like Montclair, etc. with nice shopping boutiques and some hunting stores in Northwestern New Jersey.

I hope this does not lead to gun confiscation in NJ, but they are plenty of New Jerseyans who would not go along with this.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.....

Hope those chains around you are comfortable.

NY and NJ are much the same......the inner city controls all the others in small towns, on the farms, etc...

you can vote all you want, but as long as their "system" of getting elected keeps working, a sole vote is meaningless...

most of the time, people just shrug their shoulders and keep their business private.

Yes they will because, as you say, they believe that the “access” is worth it. People who are addicted to big city amenities are the Achilles Heel of our freedom. Without the metroplexes, there would be no Democrat party anymore and our gun rights would be secure.

The majority of New Jersey voters are morons who haven't a clue what the 2nd Amendment is all about. How else do you explain why they keep voting for the gun grabbing shitheads who take away their God-given rights?

New Jersey is on my permanent boycott list. F 'em.

Living in NJ is tyrannically suffocating. If you knew the type of people who live in this state who promote this crap, you would want to strangle them. They are the most ignorant and arrogant liberal that one can imagine. Most don’t even bother to vote. Nobody even knows who the governor is. The state could be split south of Camden to Cape May and maybe we would have a little better chance but South Jersey is infested with illegals and the towns cater to them. By those who were born in NJ, they say it was not always like this. Trenton is pure evil government.

Oh I know. In live in eastern Pa. and the strangling urge has crossed my mind when I hear the better-than-thou, “Well I’m from New Jersey”.
