Gee, it reminds me of the Bible story of Balaam’s mule and his curse on the Israelites turned into a blessing....

Back when I was in high school and "Urban Cowboy" was all the rage, I bought me an new Cowboy hat and shiney new boots and was out in the school parking lot, shooting the bull with some friends when one, who was a new friend, thought he was clever and could denigrate me on my new duds by saying the old "All hat and no cattle" line

My cousin who knew both us, leaned over to him and told him, "Look careful at his boots, that green on em are "second hand grass" The suburbanite friend was puzzled at this. I just grinned knowing what my cousin meant by "second hand grass"

My cousin continued said: That's cowshit and his family has about 200 cows" Our friend shut up and turned a little red.

Unless you were an insomniac of just a glutton for bad late night TV, probably no reason to be up late at night on a really bad UHF channel(didn't have cable and 400 equally bad channels back then)That's when his show usually appeared.

I remember he had a unique take on the bible and had a love for horses and the ladies. Last I heard from him was he was on his third wife and she was a former porn star.
