Sessions hints more firings possible, defends Rosenstein over conflicts allegations

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is hinting there could be more fallout from the internal investigations that have rocked the FBI while defending his top deputy Rod Rosenstein against allegations of conflicts of interest.

Sessions told The Hill’s new morning show Rising in an exclusive interview airing Thursday that the impending release of a Justice Department inspector general report on missteps during ex-FBI Director James Comey’s era will better help the agency improve from past mistakes that led to Comey’s firing last year.

“If anyone else shows up in this report to have done something that requires termination we will do so,” he added.

He also addressed conservative attacks on Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who took charge of the Russia case more than a year ago when Sessions recused himself because of earlier contacts with Moscow’s ambassador during the 2016 campaign.

Congressional Republicans and TV pundits have now alleged Rosenstein has a conflict, because Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating President Trump’s firing of Comey as a possible act of obstruction.

Rosenstein played a major role in that termination, and critics say that makes him a witness in the Mueller case.

ETC...

More firings?
What about criminal referrals and indictments?
Sessions is a joke.

I thought that the AG-Recuser’s standard is “Appearance of conflict of interest” which RosenWeasel has in Spades.

It just doesn’t make sense.

Obviously RR should recuse b/c he absolutely was involved in the Comey firing. That’s not in question. It’s trivially prima facie.

So... what could be happening?

Maybe this does not include mooler looking at obstruction?
Maybe Jeff is leveraged and lying out his bama ass?
other?

IOW the report has been whitewashed to exclude any wrong doing or conflicts by a main culprit. Furthermore, why is Sessions commenting on this as he is recused or was that just on issues affecting wrongdoing by the deep state??

Proving once again which side Sessions is on.

****************

Sessions has not done a single thing for Trump since becoming AG. He has been a Deep State plant all along and it wouldn’t be one bit surprising to find out that he was one of informants used by the FBI.

After the Horowitz report is released Trump had better act fast to clean house. Allowing termites to remain in the woodwork guarantees that the structure will eventually collapse. Trump had better get them before they get him.

Maybe Jeffy flew Lolita Express?

Somebody’s got something on him. Or, of course, he’s playing 5-D inverted quantum chess.

Probably, Sessions is afraid of the Deep State coming after him with some trumped up charge of obstruction. He probably likes the safety of being on the other side. And he probably rationalizes it all by thinking that he's following the rules, never mind that the rules are dictated to him by the DOJ's Deep State lawyers.

It really doesn't take much for Session to be afraid.

Sessions is simply a coward.
