House Speaker Paul Ryan’s amnesty plan compromises on several key elements of President Donald Trump’s ‘four pillars’ immigration reform, even though Ryan says his plan would implement the President’s populist vision. According to a “discussion draft” of the Ryan proposal, which was provided to Breitbart News:
The plan does seek a $25 billion fund for the wall, but it legalizes at least 1.8 million illegal immigrants — likely 3.6 million illegals — before any wall is built. The DACA migrants could use their legal status to apply for a green card after five years, and for citizenship later, if Congress provides the appropriated funds for the wall.
The plan trims chain migration of extended families by almost 80,000 a year, but does not set any limits on the fast-growing inflow of immigrants’ elderly parents, including the illegal-immigrant parents who brought the ‘DACA’ youths into the United States. The trimmed green cards would not be cancelled, but would be allocated to DACA migrants and to white-collar immigrants sought by business groups after the five-year waiting period.
The plan ends the visa lottery, but it preserves the current policy of giving 55,000 green cards per year to migrants — in this case, the DACA illegals — who do not have the skills which are needed to raise productivity and wages in the United States.
The Ryan plan delivers several reforms to immigration and asylum law that will close up several loopholes used by economic migrants — but it also creates new incentives for more migrants to try to get into the United States, even before the November elections.

Here’s an explanation of just how bad it is:
A wall was funded during the Bush Administration and they didn’t build it.
The GOPe doesn’t care...They don’t want to be a majority...If you’re the majority, you’re expected to accomplish something...
The GOPe just want to sit back, enjoy the perks, get kickbacks, live off the American people and have no responsibility...
If questioned, they just say, we can’r do anything...We don’t have a majority...

Just because Ryan (once again!) has put something together, doesn’t mean it’s going anywhere.
That worthless back-stabbing prick should have been locked out of his office as soon as he announced that he was retiring.
And to think that we almost elected him and that other worthless prick (Mittens) to the White House.
To me, amnesty is citizenship and immediate voting rights. This is far from that. If funded - and it is Trump's wall - I see Trump building things like only Trump can do.

I think you’re fooling yourself. Ivanka is bigly pro-amnesty and the reports yesterday were that the WH has signaled they’d support multiple versions of the amnesty that Ryan is working on.
The House GOP alone had 216 votes in support of the RINOs’ amnesty initiative last week, and together the uniparty will have enough votes on this to override a veto.
Trump needs to have this stomped out sooner rather than later, and the only way he can do that is to use the bully pulpit. Yet, the last time he spoke on immigration at one of his rallies, he was saying, can’t we all agree we need more guest workers. Yikes! He’s been distracted in multiple other directions and this will indeed undo the GOP House majority in November.
Exactly. They get massively bought off for this type of country-killing bill. If it costs them their seat, the payoff is millions as a lobbyist.
Trump needs to pivot on and kill this before it passes the House, as it’ll have a veto-proof majority even if he figures out the cost of it later.
Paul Ryan is more bubble bathy than Marco Rubio.
And Trump will & should VETO it. I don’t think this close to an election in November they have enough votes in the House OR the Senate to override a veto.
He knows it will go no-where, but he'll be waiting in the wings out of office in his fervent hope that Trump will fail in something.
Then, either in 2020 or 2024, the Elite will hire him again to make a bid to win back power for the GOPe Globalists by running for POTUS.
