No kidding! Burn a disc or copy stuff to a thumb drive. So easy to do. So why didn’t someone do it and why hasn’t it been leaked?
The story circulating (no idea as to accuracy) is the F.B.I. showed up and seized everything to do with Weiner, included the laptop, saying it was Top Secret.
They threatened anyone who retained a copy with espionage (straight to secret jail; no lawyer) and got all the copies.
There’s a film out about Mark Felt (the FBI guy who was passed over and - another Deep State takedown - became Deep Through). Right after Hoover dies, he shreds the secret files J. Edgar had on every politician.
Hillary might have smashed the Weiner hard drive with her hammer...
Perhaps, if it was leaked, it would compromise any prosecution.

The NSA should have copies. According to Q 2 of the detectives shot in NY while on duty had access to the laptop.

Lots of theories out there:
The Clinton Foundation itself. They used the earthquake as a way to cash in by the foundation taking in tens of millions and not spending much of anything on actual relief.
There was an orphanage funded by the CF that was trying to take kids out of Haiti. Leader of it was arrested. Clinton sprung her.
The second theory is that Clinton had damaging pictures, vids, and other evidence of politicians and government higher-ups in her possession and, via Huma, Weiner wound up with copies of this evidence. He had it in his computer under something called “insurance files” and was his get out of jail free card. So he thought.
The offshoot of the second theory goes into Pizzagate territory. Elites engage in child sex abuse, which is filmed or photographed so that every other member of the evil cabal has the goods on the other. Or Epstein had secret cameras on pedo island and there are tapes of that.
Lots of speculation.

For some reason, it's being co-opted and obfuscated by media so they can collect our personal info in order to let it be exfiltrated because it's too hard to apply patches and close known attack vectors...

This is disinformation or deliberate confusion.
Crimes against Children is what Weiner was arrested for - i.e. - sexting a 15yo girl.
When investigators obtain a search warrant to look for evidence of crimes against children they are ONLY allowed to look for evidence of that crime.
When investigators obtain a search warrant to look for classified information they are ONLY allowed to look for evidence of that crime.
If either group finds evidence or sees evidence of another crime they are required to obtain a second search warrant to obtain that evidence or look further for it.
There is nothing in what was released that indicates anything about anyone other than Weiner having something to do with the crimes against children.
Guaranteed Epstein had cameras on Pedo Island. That was the point of Pedo Island. That’s how Epstein was that rich. I don’t know which global power (Saudis? Soros?) hired Epstein to schmooze the rich and powerful, but who better then a practicing Pedo himself to help the others let down their guard with young underaged teens?? Paedopphilia has always been a vice of the Elites. Rich merchants and barons as a rule never went out and got their victims but purchased them from people who specialized in that sort of trade. The Pizza Gate is not so tin foil a consideration due to all the apparent symbology connected to the two shops in DC. There is no proof adduced but the speculation is not so far fetched given the proclivities of a certain class of people, especially people who recognize no power higher than themselves.
