Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort will await his trial for foreign lobbying charges from jail.

Two weeks after Robert Mueller's prosecutors dropped new accusations of witness tampering on him, US District Judge Amy Berman Jackson Friday revoked Manafort's bail, which allowed him out on house arrest.

The so called tampering seemed pretty thin

As long as they do the same for Illary and Mueller and the other leftist scumbags, I’m okay with it.

Note to self.... if i am ever under house arrest for foreign dealings, don’t call people over seas and ask them to testify for me. Let my lawyer do that.

Solely for the optics of having someone associated with Trump in actual jail so in minimally informed public see him (Trump) as guilty.

Mueller comes thru in the clutch with a Friday drop so the talking heads don’t have to bother discussing the FBI election tampering on the weekend news shows.

This is beyond preposterous.

Standard practice if a defendant out on bail is trying to influence witnesses.

I'm mostly a civil litigator these days, but back when I did white-collar criminal defense, the first piece of advice given to any client was not to talk to anyone about the case. If you want to find out what a witness is going to say, the defendant's lawyer asks the witness's lawyer. Direct communication between a defendant and a witness is asking for trouble.

There should be no reason he would waive his right to a speedy trial if he is in jail. I’m not a lawyer though. Lets see what Muellers got. They better have sompin this is a major railroad job.

Yeah sounds like Manafort is one of those clients who can’t defer the defence investigation to the lawyers and their own investigation team. He had to know he was being closely monitored for any slip ups. If he didn’t his hubris is telling.

If Mueller’s thugs approach YOU (or me or whoever) you have two choices
1) Make up something about Trump/Russia
2) Go to jail

I have no problems if Manafort goes to jail for life if he has committed crimes that deserve it - IF the investigation and prosecution are somewhat consistent with what other citizens would face. If he is being treated different than the rest of us because of his connection to a political figure, there is a YUGE problem. And it certainly looks like Mueller would be more comfortable in Cuba or various countries in South America. Manafort is not just being put in prison “for his own good” (or ours) but to send a message to others who may stand up to Mueller.

Those who are “so concerned” that Trump’s recent pardons are meant to send a message should be speaking out on Mueller’s recent imprisonment.

While I trust and believe in President Trump, ALL government entities at pretty much ALL levels are DEAD to me now. DEAD! Many were already on Life support!

(But, I DO love my Town Board Chairman - I’m engaged to him so I’d better, LOL!)

Clean House, Mr. President. CLEAN. HOUSE.

P.S.

Best. Election. Ever. EVER! MAGA!

“On June 17, 2010, President Obama nominated Jackson to fill a vacant seat on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia”

After nomination expired, re-nominated in 2011 and approved by vote of 97-0
