* Residents have stuck up for Conte and one neighbor said the kids were trying to throw a dead snake into his wife's car
A Long Island man was arrested for shoving a 12-year-old boy to the ground after he caught the child recording his wife on a cellphone.
Anderson then calls the woman a 'low life' seconds before a man charges at him shoving the boy to the ground. The man curses and smashes Anderson's cellphone on the ground as the boy yells for help.
Anderson's father, Christian, called Conte a 'coward' but residents in the area are sticking up for him.
According to neighbor Michael Shain, who lives across the street from where the incident happened, the kids were allegedly trying to throw a dead snake into the woman's car with her two kids inside.
'There's video of these kids running around with their bikes, stopping cars, getting in front of cars where they almost basically force you to hit them,' he said. 'These kid are not innocent by any means. They started it, and unfortunately, the father went to protect his wife and two small kids.'
Christian, however, says there is never a reason for an adult to put their hands on a child.
'Even if they throw a rock at the car, it doesn't justify beating up a child. It just doesn't,' he said.

Shoving a child was uncalled for. The adult should act like one, not lose his temper and act like a child.
Bratty boys bothering adults has gone on since the stone age. It is a pain to deal with, but you don’t deal with it through physical violence. The adult was an idiot. He is lucky if he does not get convicted for assault.

I grew up on Long Island. There were plenty of punk asses that needed a good beat down from adults. I have no doubt this might be one of them.

I’ve got five kids 11-29 and last three are boys ages 11 15 and 18
And I’ve whipped all of them...real spankings and they would be unlikely to do these things

Where this stuff gets fuzzy is when the juvenile delinquent is 16-17.
I’ve actually had an issue where my 13 year old fought a 17 year old five years ago and drew some blood but ultimately lost and took lumps
I was pissed I wanted to beat the snot out of the kid...we found him...I resisted...one of my buddies wife is 30 year old blonde PMOTM bartender here in Franklin...it happened here and she found the boy on the square the next night and humiliated him in front of large peer group

And my son gained legend status that not only suited him well but helped his little brothers in local schools too

I’m glad folks are taking up for the guy hopefully he’ll come out ok but I disagree with what he did..

It is possible nobody knows what went on here.
The older man knew what was happening from down the street and I presume in his house, and came running to get involved. Notice also he was this enraged his wife was being video’d by a twelve year old.
If your wife was in a confrontation down the street of any kind, right now, what are the chances you would know? Would you care if a Kid was cell phoning their interaction? Would you care that much?
None of this is significant to anybody now. Nobody knows. But I suspect in ten years, maybe after Trump deals with it, everyone here, even those who think the older guy was wrong, and especially those who think he was right, will all see this very differently, and realize they were missing something huge.
Or at least they will see the possibility that nothing was as they thought.

All the local news programs ran a video showing the evil man shoving a poor defenseless boy, no mention of the other side of the story, FAKE NEWS AT ITS BEST.
This is why the government is now the enemy of the people. Instead of arresting the delinquent kid, the neighbor is arrested and charged.
Never trust a police officer. They are just cogs of the state and they are willingly to perform the work of enforcing unjust laws in return for a paycheck.

This thread kills me. If there was a stand-alone video of a 12 year old delinquent acting like this, virtually all Freepers would comment “ someone needs to knock that kid on his ass”.
Someone stands up and knocks the kid on his ass, and it’s suddenly “ no reason to ever lay hands on a “child”.

I suspect William Conte will experience similar actions when in the lock-up.
It is your kind of thinking that makes little hoodlums like these boys. Both the father and the kids need a thorough thrashing.
You know this boy’s family can get sued too? Throwing things at their cars, and constant harassment is probably good grounds for it.
It does take a real man....to keep himself from actually striking this little bastard like he so richly deserves.
I have had the misfortune of having to deal with children like this...and their misbegotten parents.
In my case, I ejected the child from a baseball team because he was a PITA and generally disruptive.
I’m “kid size”, that 12 year old is probably bigger than I am. I will beat the cr*p out of kid if warranted ... and then the parents.
I’d hear the guy out, find out what my kid did...then I’d shove my kid to the ground and beat his butt.
What that kid did was very seriously wrong. What if that kid did that to a woman who was related to an MS13 member; that kid might have had his head cut off. That kid was lucky that all that happened to him was that he was shoved and his phone broken.
