the Democrats are trying to force Trump to stop policing the border. The massive influx coming in now is part of their plan. If Trump stops removing the children as the law requires him to, then he can’t apprehend the adults. The law says if you apprehend the parents the children must be separately dealt with. He can’t police the border without doing this, or he violates the law. Nice poison pill.
About all he could do is declare an emergency and close the border entirely. And he’d have to place the guard along the entire border.
This is the Democrat/socialist play - force him down from immigration control of any kind. If he closes the border, the screaming will get 10 times louder. The Democrats are making their play to take down the country’s borders - make them meaningless - right now.
Pretty much. The two legal choices for Trumo are separate or catch and release. Catch and release is what the Dems want because they know those illegals don't come back for their hearings.
