I heard Jim Jordan today on Hannity say that Paul Ryan told Rosenstein to his face if he did not produce the documents that were requested they would proceed to vote on a House Resolution by the full House to demand release of the documents, if still not produced, the would then vote to charge him with Contempt of Congress, and if he still failed to comply even after that, they would proceed with impeachment. Goodlatte, Gowdy, and Nunes (chairmen of the Judiciary, Oversight, and Intelligence committees, respectively) were also apparently at this meeting.

Rosenstein is dragging his feet. But so is the GOP led congress. It should have held him to account right after the first refusal to provide the requested documents. The fact that this game has gone on for so long shows the GOP doesn’t really want to do it.

So we're looking at what, some time in 2025?

So that will delay things at least six more weeks, right?

This should allow it to drag on until the new Congress is seated. Ryan would never go against the deep state. A Democrat Congress will be able to shut down all investigations.

There is no need to go through all of the hoops that Ryan mentioned. That would take forever. Rosenstein has refused enough times to warrant being put in jail for obstruction. Ryan and the rest of the deep staters and weaklings are just stalling.
