WASHINGTON — The Obama White House’s chief cyber official testified Wednesday that proposals he was developing to counter Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election were put on a “back burner” after he was ordered to “stand down” his efforts in the summer of 2016.
The comments by Michael Daniel, who served as White House “cyber security coordinator” between 2012 and January of last year, provided his first public confirmation of a much-discussed passage in the book, “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump,” co-written by this reporter and David Corn, that detailed his thwarted efforts to respond to the Russian attack.

It sounds more like Obama had a plan during the election season—keep the Russians around so he could use them to compromise Trump in some way? If the CIA had infiltrated the Russian network they could cause quite a bit of mischief—and create leverage with both Presidential candidates.
Now that is what I would call “Made in America” election meddling.
That's assuming the Russian "network" could have some effect on the election.
Maybe he just figured this was the same stuff we do in their elections - marginal meddling that wouldn't change anything.
I believe that at the very least, Obama was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He brought them into our government, and I think he coordinated with them to cause our nation’s interests harm.

Obama and the Russians were playing for Team Hillary. The had lots of kompromat on her. Uranium One, plus Clinton Foundation dirt, plus God knows what.
The whole Mueller probe is nothing but a red herring to keep this hidden.

“One reason that kind of stuns me is obviously is the information I got from Christopher Steele was information that the FBI already had,” Isikoff said.
Isikoff said he was introduced to Steele by Glenn Simpson, the former journalist who founded the research firm, Fusion GPS, who invited him to meet a “secret source” at a Washington restaurant.
“Glenn had booked a private room upstairs so that no one would see us,” Isikoff recalled. “During the hour or so we talked that day, Steele tells me an amazing story — how one of Donald Trump’s foreign policy advisers, Carter Page, had flown to Moscow and had private talks with close associates of Vladimir Putin about lifting U.S. sanctions against Russia.”
“And Steele tells me something else that day that gets my attention: He’s taken this information to the FBI and the bureau is very interested,” Isikoff continued. “Why were they interested? What did the bureau know that would prompt them to take the extraordinary step to launch an investigation into an adviser of the Republican nominee for president?”
