No, the President did not cave. He yanked the *families separated* issue right out from under the democrats.

Well, this would be clear yes/no if there were stats of people being turned away at the border, or returned. But there are not as I suspect most are still in the US and in a number of days, they are released into the US. Trump blames the laws, Sessions sleeps, Americans lose. I am not very optimistic that catch-and-release is stopping, even less that the 10s of millions of illegal aliens will be deported.

They are lying. The executive order requires that parents be detained together, which conflicts with the Flores decision to the effect that children cannot be detained. If the court stands by the Flores decision, it will be responsible for separating children from parents. Trump can then denounce the judge and revert to separating children from parents as Flores requires.
