LEHI, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MyHeritage, the leading international family history and DNA company, announced today that, following the recent separation of children from parents in immigrant families in the United States, the company is expanding its pro bono initiative, DNA Quest — which helps reunite adoptees with their biological families through DNA testing — to help those parents who were detained at the border reunite with their children. The company is pledging 5,000 additional free DNA tests for separated parents and children who are interested in this opportunity.

The Left is balking on doing tests to determine whether or not kids are related to people claiming to be their parents, claiming law enforcement should not be able to compile a database of these kids DNA. This offer by MyHeritage should put that to rest. 23 and Me is also trying to get in on the action, though they have given no specifics whereas MyHeritage has promised 5,000 tests. Enough to test all 2,000 kids and one parent with 1,000 tests left over.

Just put all of them on the same bus and let them figure out who brought who while on the return trip to Mexico

“The Left is balking on doing tests to determine whether or not kids are related to people claiming to be their parents, claiming law enforcement should not be able to compile a database of these kids DNA.”

This is exactly what ICE should be doing with every person in their custody. They have broken the law coming into the country illegally and at a minimum the Government should have a way to identify them if they commit even more crimes, and to identify any child smuggler - who should then be prosecuted to the fullest.

No. There is nothing about having to convert to Mormonism to be found and you can order the tests for $69.

Provide actual family members crossed the border with them and provided the parents are willing to have their DNA checked against some unsolved crimes etc etc

This is rather interesting as the Left certainly wants this type of database on gun owners.

Sec. Nielsen said that 10,000 of the 12,000 illegal children did not cross with a parent, so we should not be surprised if thousands of these kids are not claimed. It is the fault of their parents, who never should have sent them with child smugglers. We should return them to their home countries or to Mexico, which should not be transporting them 2,000 miles to dump them on our border.

Will we ever hear the percentage of matches? DNA test every ‘kid’ then see who steps forward to claim them. Most if not all of these teen ‘kids’ were with ‘coyotes’, not parents. What will be done with them then? We’ll be stuck with a bunch of adolescent invaders who will then form familial ‘gangs’ and VOILA, the culture they ‘escaped’ is here! Ship them ALL out by crate or catapult-I don’t care.

I don’t think we would hear the percentage. It is a private company.

>> the leading international family history and DNA company <<

That status really belongs to Ancestry.com, with second place honors to Family Tree DNA, Inc.

The DNA results could be very interesting!

Wonder if My Heritage would pick up the tab on the thousands of after rape kits, that California can’t afford to pay for.

The state has millions if not billions for Moonbeams Bullet Trains that go nowhere and no money to run DNA tests on the rape kits from rape victims.

Understand this is a problem in liberal cities and counties across America, re no funding for DNA tests on evidence from rape kits.

Maybe so.

But it seems that any excuse to bash the Mormons is OK.

(After all, they have a very high rate of disapproval for Pres. Trump.)

A database of DNA, fingerprints and photographs. All illegal invaders who get caught should be added to it.
