Supreme Court Hands Trump The Power To Fire Thousands Of Judges (Wonderful News Alert)
Washington Post 24 ^ | June 25, 2018

Posted on 06/24/2018 10:03:13 PM PDT by Zakeet

Perhaps the biggest roadblock to Trump’s MAGA agenda has been radical, liberal judges. These men and women, appointed by previous presidents and other powers, have interfered with President Trump’s lawful authority.

But that’s all about to change.

Judges are supposed to be impartial. They have a solemn duty to uphold our laws. Decisions made by judges can decide the fate of not just one person, but millions. Judges that preside over federal issues can very well affect the lives of every last American.

We’ve seen how radical judges can harm our country. Obama-appointed judges have overstepped their bounds by attacking Trump’s lawful executive orders. They have allowed their personal, political views to violate their responsibilities.

Not only that, but certain groups within our government have been appointing judges—without the approval of the president. This is clearly a violation of the Constitution. Thankfully, the Supreme Court felt so too. Now many questionable judges are about to get their walking papers.

From Reuters:

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday expanded presidential control over pivotal jobs in federal agencies, ruling that the way the Securities and Exchange Commission selected its in-house judges to enforce investor-protection laws was improper.

In a 7-2 ruling, the justices overturned a lower court ruling that had endorsed the SEC’s in-house judge hiring practice that operated autonomously from the president.

The ruling could reverberate through the federal government, which has nearly 2,000 administrative law judges deciding matters as varied as unfair trade practices, veterans benefits and patent infringement. Such a ruling could also make it easier for some of these judges to be fired by political appointees.

This is potentially very good news, IF The Donald actually decides to wield this power. IF. Do not forget J. Sessions and Company have been around for months, with the president openly saying it’s not working out. Yet Mr. Trump does not actually put the hammer down and fire the A.G.

Mr. Trump can use this possibility as a bargaining tool.
This, I do expect him to do in short order.
Maybe it’s time to write a speech or two about the notorious 9th Circuit Court. Let them sweat a little bit.
They are not beyond reproach after all!

The important question is who is eligible. Are there sitting judges in federal courts not approved by the Senate? I doubt it.

This seems to be about administrative law judges only.

Yet Mr. Trump does not actually put the hammer down and fire the A.G.

I suspect he is biding his time and will act immediately aftter the November elections.

If he is allowed to appoint judges does that mean the current ones are subject to salary adjustments for performance—a dollar a year?

I’m leery of this.

Sure it’s great when we’re in the driver’s seat, but imagine another Obama coming along. He’d take the cleaver to every decent judge he could.

WashingtonPost24 is not the Washington Compost.

And the text specifically quoted from Reuters is definitely from Reuters, four days ago.

Reading he article alongside the one you posted here
http://washingtonpost24.com/2018/06/21/supreme-court-justice-arrested-indicted-for-22-counts-fraud-corruption/

it would seem that the entire crop of judges would be deserving of this unexpected vacation.

Alrighty, POTUS TRUMP, make the most of what you have available. Make hay while the sun shines. Get these black robed stooges off our backs and behind bars/sunning their pale, frail bodies on the beach somewhere off the coast of Mexico.

MAGA!

Good thing there’s a job boom too. Burger King can use ex-judges.

This does not cover judges that are already subject to Senate confirmation - just those in the bowels of the bureaucracy.

“nearly 2,000 administrative law judges deciding matters as varied as unfair trade practices, veterans benefits and patent infringement.”

One thing of significance: IMMIGRATION JUDGES!

One judge might grant 90% of cases, and another might deny 90% (not kidding).

Consider who would replace Sessions and it would take months or forever to get a new appointee through the Senate.

This has nothing to do with the Judiciary. These are administrative law judges - these are not the ones in District and Circuit courts already nominated and approved by the Senate. Those folks are going no where.

The ruling was extensively covered and concerns only the administrative law judges. This has nothing to do with the existing judges on District and Circuit courts. All these judges were nominated and approved by the Senate, so they are going nowhere.
