I always substitute the word "shoplifter" for illegal immigrant and see if the sentence still makes sense. It often doesn't.

We do need to put some serious pressure on Mexico. We need to stop treating them like an ally. They are an adversary.
As for a travel ban, I dont think another law is going to stop the illegals. They have to be physically stopped by us or Mexico.

That’s not the same as saying the US can turn back border jumpers. Once on US soil, they have due process and equal protection. The President can shut the legitimate entry points.

He doesn’t need to. Canadians and Mexicans can be returned immediately. For som reason OTMs can not. I hope he is addressing that issue. Due process would apply to illegals who are already here and do not have a court order already.

Isn’t that the law?
Enforce the law.
If our laws state people have to apply for refugee status at an embassy or consulate, then that’s what they should have to do. I’d make sure they had to prove something more than an ex husband used to say things I didn’t like, as well.
Turn them right around and give them a swift kick in the seat of their pants.

If an army of foreigners gathered at the border and came walking into America would the liberal judges and the Supreme Court
demand that each individual be given "due process", be interviewed and given a court date before an immigration judge?
