Same here. I have a nice 50” plasma I bought several years ago and it is a joy to watch movies on.

Besides, movies in theaters come out on Blu-Ray so fast now. It’s not like waiting years for Batman to be released on VHS. The blockbusters in theaters now will be available on Blu-Ray/streaming/Redbox by Christmas to capitalize on consumer demand.

In some cases, popular movies have barely left the theater and they are already available.

And my living room is much more comfortable than the soda stained, crowded, excessively loud movie theater.

I’m patient enough to wait until a movie I might want to see shows up in the used bins of local thrift stores. Still looking for a copy of Glengarry Glenn Ross.
