Political assassinations, murders, and violence continue to escalate as Mexico’s elections approach. In the 10 months since the election cycle started, nearly 130 political candidates were murdered.

The most recent took place this week in Buena Vista Michoacan when a team of cartel gunmen shot and killed Javier Ureña Gonzalez, the acting mayor for the municipality as he visited a small village. Ureña assumed the role of acting mayor while his boss Lorenzo Barajas took leave to run for re-election.

Ureña’s murder comes one day after a Oaxaca state congressional candidate was gunned down along with four of his associates...

I recall in 1994 a presidential candidate being assasinated. It was the first of it’s type since the mexican revolution.

Just a coincidence or did the Clinton years have a profound impact on Mexico...and the massive surge in the drug cartels?

What we really need, is open borders with Mexico.

Las dias de la muertes;
Not just in October anymore if you live in Mexico.

130 Candidates killed in 10 months?
That’s enough to make even Putin jealous.

The Democrats already took us there last year when one of them tried to murder a bunch of Republican Congressmen.

Hate to say, but I fully expect one of these nutbags to attempt to murder more Republicans before the fall elections.

Cultivation of marijuana for personal use should be made legal.

Cut the cartels off at the knees.

Mexico is a failed state. Everyone who stands up against the corruption and gangs gets killed. And the left wants to being rule by drug cartels to this country.

If only people would protest Mexico’s govt or hold places like Nicaragua and Honduras to account!

If Trump is so bad and America so evil, why have the number of people trying to ger in only multiplied?!

Peoppe need to stop bashing the U.S. and start covering Latin American govts for the criminal regimes that they are.

Well I hope the Rs are aware of that. If they don’t take it seriously, we can’t take it seriously for them. I wish they’d figure out what we already know, that the left is out to destroy. They live in the land of “my esteemed colleague across the aisle”, they just don’t seem to get it, which is partly why they don’t understand what the left has been trying to do to everyday citizens-like Christian business owners-for years.

(I still can’t believe that a court had the gall to send a man to “re-education camp” to correct his religious beliefs on sodomite mirage. That is so infuriating I can’t believe it. I hope he refused to attend.)

Mexico and Russia have a fine relationship, but it's Putin and China who help keep countries like Venezuela and Cuba in business with funding.

Most Latin American countries are FAILED socialist states. Yet socialists here want us to turn into the very countries all those people are fleeing.

Maybe a scraped knee a bandaid can cover. The cartels had added opium to the mix in fear of CA legalization, but there were no worries after all: the taxes are so high on the good pot that people are still buying illegal weed in CA.
