Fired manager Darin Hodge said the issue erupted when he asked a customer to take off their MAGA hat. In an emailed statement, he said he would do it again.
“I stand by my decision to ask the patron to remove his hat. The MAGA hat has come to symbolize racism, bigotry, islamaphobia [sic], misogyny, white supremacy, homophobia. As a person with a strong moral backbone, I had to take a stand against this guest’s choice of headwear while in my former place of work,” he wrote.
Eva Gates, Vice president of Human Resources for the Sequoia Group of Restaurants — which owns the Teahouse — agreed with how the incident began, but said it amounted to a refusal of service.

I recently bought a hat that said: “Trump won. Get over it”.
I’m trying to lose weight and should not be eating out. I’ll wear the hat, so when I’m denied service it will be in my best interest.

Change “take off their hat” to “go to the back of the bus” and maybe, just maybe these idiots would understand.
You shouldn’t be wearing a hat inside anyway.
Yet when we see these idiot mostly college age kids wearing Che Guevara T Shirts, that’s ok, I’m sure. Nobody should say anything.

The MAGA hat symbolizes the REJECTION of false liberal claims that personal responsibility is an imposition.
The MAGA hat says, “Quit whining and start working hard on your own behalf.”
The MAGA hat reminds us that the Constitution gives us ALL the framework to use our freedoms to make our life and our country the best it can be.
