Latinos are deeply superstitious with a keen interest in the occult. In Hispanic homes it is not unusual to find makeshift altars which contain images of their jungle idols and ancestors, interspersed with Christian symbols. You will also find a virtual bonfire of votive candles blazing. Sometimes the Hispanics will set out sacrificial plates of beans and rice on these altars to feed their ancestors and gods.
