I had never heard of this...A quick search reveals a body of “how to” sites...Under “safety” it’s suggested that wrapping too tightly inhibits breathing (who knew?), and that dehydration and overheating are concerns...

Does not sound like “fun”, and must be an especially grisly way to go...
