It seems that everyone’s basic want to be part of a group is working in our favor. There has to be a hashtag for everyone, a self-designated label.
#walkaway is a good spot for the folks who need a little courage (and encouragement) to declare how they “really” feel.
In order to be cool, to fit in, folks want to belong to something that is bigger than themselves. In some cases, (like this) they need the protection of the group.
Yep, it's important to remember that Conservatives move as individuals and Liberals move in herds.
The whole "walkaway" movement is a double-edged sword. That liberals are moving to comparative safety under the Trump Conservative platform is a good thing, temporarily, but it's important to remember that they're fair weather friends. When the winds shift again - and they will, they always do - these people will be on to the next thing that they perceive as providing them shelter.
