MEXICO CITY — The morning after his crushing election victory, Mexico’s president-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador thanked President Donald Trump for his congratulation message and said he’ll contact the U.S. leader to “reach an understanding.”
Lopez Obrador said in an interview Monday with the Televisa news network that Trump’s Tweet Sunday night “was very respectful. That is what we always want to maintain with the U.S. government, that there be mutual respect.”
Trump tweeted Sunday that “I look very much forward to working with him. There is much to be done that will benefit both the United States and Mexico!”(continued)

Yeah. Low rent crimithugs always want everyone else to bow to them and act like they’re deserving of respect when they deserve none.
First thing he can do is tell people they can’t use Mexico to break into the USA.

That'll last until the first time Trump asks for payment for the wall.
Just tax remittances at 5%. Then “Mexico” will be paying for the wall.
Announce that and within a week the airwaves of Spanish language stations will be filled with commercials offering to route remittances through Canada or the Bahamas or Jamaica or some such place. For a nominal fee, of course. Within two weeks remittances to Mexico will be near zero.
There’s still hope - reaching out to Trump is a good sign...
Trump has to work with all kinds of... leaders. As long as he can make good deals for the US, fine.
But we do need the wall.

Trump knows the game. Obrador said things just to get elected, but he knows he’s going to have to be pragmatic.

The cartels do not want Mexico to antagonize the US into fortifying the border. A secure US border stops illegal immigrants and drug shipments too.

Wow! Gleason was my Dad’s favorite comedian. He was funny beyond anything that passes for comedy today.
Have to admit he was one of a kind, one in a billion. And he was a patriot too. I’ll bet your Uncle was a great patriot too just to be in that company.
Hollywood had a respectable past. We just need to help them find it again.
