#MeTrudeau: Canadian PM says he 'doesn't remember any negative interactions' (tr)

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has denied that he groped a female reporter 18 years ago, saying he doesn't remember any 'negative interactions' from that day.

Trudeau publicly addressed the groping allegations when he was hit with questions about it at a public event in Regina, Saskatchewan on Sunday as part of Canada Day festivities.

The alleged incident took place back in 2000 at a music festival in Creston, B.C. to raise money for an avalanche safety charity that Trudeau was involved in following the death of his brother two years earlier.

Trudeau, who was 28 at the time and known for being the son of former PM Pierre Trudeau, hadn't yet entered politics and was working as a teacher.

Days after the festival, the allegation that he groped a young female reporter appeared in an unsigned editorial in a local newspaper.

The allegations and newspaper report resurfaced last month when a blogger posted a snippet of the editorial on Twitter. It has been a main subject in political discussions in Canada since it reemerged.

Forced to address the claims at the Canada Day event on Sunday, Trudeau told reporters that he didn't recall any 'negative reactions' from the festival.

'I remember that day in Creston well,' Trudeau said.

'I had a good day that day; I don't remember any negative interactions that day at all.'

I remember when Bill Clinton couldn’t remember anything.

“I remember that day in Creston well, it was an Avalanche Foundation event to support avalanche safety. I had a good day that day. I don’t remember any negative interactions that day at all,” Trudeau said.

The reporter Dustbin behaved inappropriately to certainly remembers a negative interaction that day, it seems.

So the vacuous moron apologized at the time to a woman with whom he had, according to him years later, a non-negative interaction for an incident that he does not remember occurring negatively (yet he apparently felt the need to apologize for nevertheless) that occurred on the same day that he happens to remember well.

Yes, of course.

Does the rapist or pedophile perceive their acts to be “negative interactions” or would those acts be considered positive on the part of the assailant? Just curious. Pretty sure Bill did not perceive his interactions with Flowers or Broderick to be negative.

Rule of life: if a man is accused of sexual misconduct and his response is to say a proper lawyer approved “I don’t recall” then he’s guilty and trying to leave some wiggle room in case there are witnesses or video that contradicts him.

Another rule of life: Lefty beta men who vehemently proclaim that women are always to be believed in he-said/she-said scenarios will find themselves unable to deny wrongdoing if they are falsely accused and must resort to weak things like “I’m not saying she’s wrong or lying, just that I don’t remember it. But I apologize because if she perceived it that way than it must be so, even though I never perceived it or recall it that way. Regardless I’m wrong and terrible.”

He probably patted her on the ass and that was stupid. He was with liberals such as himself and probably thought it was okay with the reporter. In my long since past youth I have done as bad but fortunately was with ladies that not only did not take offense but welcomed it or were mildly amused. Not once did one object. Thus were the sixties. Those habits of mine ceased 52 years ago. Getting old really sucks.

On this one I will give the boy a pass unless it was something obscene.

I give Trudeau no pass on his left wing politics. He is a danger to Canada.

It’s a mistake to give him a pass. Hold him accountable to his own “tune”.

Of all the cities in Canada in which Trudeau could have addressed the groping allegations, he chose the one that rhymes with “vagina.” Too bad that Canada doesn’t have a free press, or they’d have a field day with that.

Word games from the typical neo-marxist.
No negative interactions from his point of view.
In his mind it was positive.

The town of Dildo was founded in the late 18th century and settled to exploit the abundance of marine resources such as fish (mostly cod),

But no tuna?

Objectively, it was likely nothing more than what we would call “getting fresh” back in the increasingly “old days”. But when you set yourself up as a holier than thou “feminist”, you deserve to get hoist on your own petard.

Creston is a small town where a large percentage of the town’s population would likely turn out for something involving celebrities, it might have been tacked onto something else going on there. So this would have been different from a voluntary gathering of like-minded liberals (in British Columbia, almost everyone is fairly liberal anyway, the term leftist here means university communist waving a red flag sort of leftist).

Justin Trudeau has always been superficially popular with the ladies in Canada but nothing like his more adventurous papa (or was he?) ... so one could imagine a sort of star-struck encounter with the young globe-trotter taking momentary advantage. Maybe it replayed as groping in the memory after a day or two.

Probably something fairly mundane like the hand lingering a bit long where it should not have been. At some point we are going to find almost the entire history of western civilization criminalized, I don’t know that I want to go down this path just to get a chance to make life tough for Justin, but it is a sore temptation.
