John James a key to overturning Roe, passing prolife laws

Abortion is illegal in Michigan, except to save the life of the mother. Our state’s legal protections for children in the womb are not enforced, however, because of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton.

What is the key to restoring our law? Overturning Roe. What is the key to overturning Roe? We need one, perhaps two more fair justices on the U.S. Supreme Court who recognize that the U.S. Constitution doesn’t mention abortion. How do we get those justices on the Court?

You can start by voting for John James in the U.S. Senate Republican primary on August 7!

We have a prolife president in Donald Trump willing to appoint honest justices like Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court. Three pro-abortion Supreme Court justices are ages 79 and over, meaning several court vacancies are likely in the near future. Nominees to the Supreme Court have to be approved by the U.S. Senate, and Michigan voters have an excellent opportunity to play a role in that process via the 2018 election.

Currently there are at most 48 votes in the U.S. Senate for prolife legislation. Last year Justice Neil Gorsuch was approved by 54 votes. The margin of error is small. Senator Debbie Stabenow consistently votes against prolife legislation and fair judicial nominees.

She will face the winner of the Republican Senate Primary in November. Who will her opponent be?

There are two candidates running in the Republican Senate Primary: John James and Sandy Pensler. The Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee has endorsed John James as the only 100-percent prolife candidate in the race.

James has served as the president of his family’s Detroit-area business since 2012. James Group International is in the logistics and transportation industry.

Prior to his business management experience, James served our country for eight years. James’ service began at West Point. He graduated in 2004 as an Army Rangerqualified aviation officer. He is a combat veteran, having served as an Apache attack helicopter pilot in the Iraq War, earning two air medals.

In addition to his West Point bachelor’s degree, James has earned master degrees from the University of Michigan and Penn State University. John and his wife Elizabeth live in Farmington Hills with their two boys.

Between his years of management experience, leadership in our armed forces, and his educational background, James is clearly a smart and capable candidate for the U.S. Senate. What should separate him in the minds of prolife voters committed to ending the destruction of human life happening in our neighborhoods every day is his shared commitment to respecting the value of every human life.

Earlier in his campaign, James ran a daily video series on social media for 100 days. His video on November 22 detailed his convictions about defending the right to life of every person:

“One of the biggest reasons why I am running is I want to speak for those who have no voice. I want to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves, and I can’t imagine a more vulnerable group of people than our unborn children. I am 100 percent prolife because I believe that life begins at conception and ends in a natural death. I believe that there is no greater sacred trust than that of a child to his or her parent.“

Who might be the deciding vote on prolife legislation and Supreme Court nominations in 2019? On August 7, prolife voters have the first opportunity to have their say. When it comes to the right to life, John James will live up to the U.S. Army’s motto: “This we’ll defend!”

From National Republic:

“Perhaps the Court would not have been so determined to uphold Roe if it had more seriously considered the fundamental flaws in that original decision. One prominent abortionist involved in the case, Bernard Nathanson, later admitted that he and fellow abortion proponents in the medical field cooperated to falsify statistics on the number of illegal abortions and maternal deaths in the decades preceding Roe. When Nathanson later realized the horror of abortion and quit the practice, he explained publicly how he and other key individuals used the false information to convince the Court that legalizing abortion would be safer than allowing it to continue illegally.”

Question—Isn’t that Fraud Upon The Court?

The Life At Conception Act would render Roe v. Wade an irrelevant arcane piece of U.S. legal history. It doesn’t technically overturn Roe v. Wade but it does remove the basis for it, the definition of “personhood,” so Roe v. Wade would be meaningless.

It is Congress + a president that could and should eliminate Roe v. Wade not the judiciary.

R v. W has been the MSM driven crisis with every Republican considered SCJ since Kennedy back in 1987. Followed up by Alito, Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Gorsuch.

After all those conservative appointees, R v. W remains the law of the land despite the caterwauling by the libtards and the MSM.........And it will long after I pass away......

This is nothing more than fake news and fake crisis that every Republican president since Reagan had to deal with..........

45 years since R v. W, so why hasn't it happened? If I recall, every Republican president in the past 45 years has been opposed to abortion...........

Accept the fact that it ain't gonna happen in our lifetime..........

The answer to you first question is, in part, because no one came up with the concept until recent years. Not to mention all but Reagan were RINOs.

I see no reason to accept that it won’t happen in my lifetime even though I agree that it likely won’t. That’s a defeatist attitude that I won’t indulge in. At any rate my comment wasn’t based on expectations.

because no one came up with the concept until recent years.

Do your "recent years" also include Thomas, Alito, Roberts and Gorsuch?

Why is it that only Republican nominees come under the spotlight of abortion rights and become a major MSM issue and not Democrat nominees?

Why is it that only Republican political candidates are put under the spotlight of abortion rights and not Democrats?

Is it possible that not all Democrat politicians support abortions but are immune from MSM scrutiny on that subject? Of course it is.........But you'll never hear them called on the carpet to defend their beliefs.

Pro Life is the biggest red herring that the MSM uses to divide Republican politicians from the voters in virtually every election while the Democrats get a pass........

I don't see a connection between proposed legislation and SCOTUS justices.

Why is it that only Republican nominees come under the spotlight of abortion rights and become a major MSM issue and not Democrat nominees?

Because over 90% of all MSM journalists are Democrats.

We need outside the box thinking on this. If R v W cannot be directly overturned some sort of go around might be the answer. Right now Obamacare technically exists but some of its main components are being removed through various means. Perhaps gutting Ocare might serve as an example of how to neutralize abortion.
