It looks like Washington D.C. residents are taking Rep. Maxine Water’s advice and confronting members of the Trump administration as they go about their lives in public places. The latest incident occurred Monday in a D.C. restaurant and the target was the EPA’s Scott Pruitt. Bonus points for having a 2-year-old toddler in tow as she confronted him.
Kristin Mink, a teacher, was having lunch with her toddler when she noticed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chief Scott Pruitt three tables over. Taking a page out of the social justice warrior’s playbook, she “had to say something”, so she did. To add to the drama she now claims she did it for her child and every child, too.
Pruitt was eating lunch with another man and the video shows Mink walking up to his table, toddler on her hip, and she begins with, “Hi. I just wanted to urge you to resign.” She went on from there and even looked at her phone for prompts and talking points. She never yelled but went a bit overboard with the rhetoric. She listed off some alleged scandals under investigation and mentioned he should resign before the scandals force him to. She’s a teacher. Maybe this was her idea of a teachable moment for her own toddler.
As with any competent member of #TheResistance, she promptly posted the exchange on Facebook and the post ever so handily includes information on a website set up by the Sierra Club to demand Pruitt gets the boot. EPA head Scott Pruitt was 3 tables away as I ate lunch with my child. I had to say something. This man is directly and significantly harming my child’s — and every child’s — health and future with decisions to roll back environmental regulations for the benefit of big corporations, while he uses taxpayer money to fund a lavish lifestyle. He’s corrupt, he’s a liar, he’s a climate change denier, and as a public servant, he should not be able to go out in public without hearing from the citizens he’s hurting. Let’s face it, the far left environmentalist community has been out for Pruitt’s resignation before he was even confirmed by the Senate. He candidly speaks with skepticism about the global warming hysteria and has been doing a stellar job working with President Trump to ease the heavy thumb of government regulations on businesses.
Adding fuel to the fire are the alleged ethics violations that Pruitt has racked up since taking the helm at EPA. On June 30, 2018, the New York Times ran an article stating that the chief ethics officer, who had been defending Pruit, is now pushing for a series of investigations into Pruitt’s alleged improprieties.
The letter is the first public acknowledgment that Kevin S. Minoli, who has frequently defended Mr. Pruitt’s actions since he took over the agency in February 2017, is now openly questioning whether Mr. Pruitt violated federal ethics rules.
The investigations recommended by Mr. Minoli include an examination of how Mr. Pruitt rented a $50-a-night condominium on Capitol Hill last year while he was being lobbied by J. Steven Hart, the spouse of the condo’s owner, according to a federal official with firsthand knowledge of the inquiries, who asked not to be named since the details of the investigation are intended to remain confidential.
The Twitterverse was quick to applaud the teacher’s confrontation skills and share her video.

She told the NY Post that she’s just not used to confronting officials. Perhaps she was encouraged by her husband. I’m assuming he took the video, as he doesn’t appear with her and the child.
Speaking to The Post, the 33-year-old mom from Silver Spring, Maryland explained that her husband pointed out Pruitt and her first reaction was, “He’s the worst.”
“I had to decide what to say, he’s so scandal-ridden,” Mink said. “I jotted down just a couple points that I wanted to make to him that were a little on the specific side.”
When she approached him, she said she was nervous. “This is not my wheelhouse, confronting people in a restaurant,” Mink explained.
This is our new reality. An ordinary lunch with a companion can cause heartburn induced by anyone in the establishment that disagrees with the political administration in office. Pruitt does have a beefed-up security detail, thanks to all the threats he receives. This, too, is an irritation to the unhinged among us. The man has 24-hour round the clock security protection.
Pruitt received 24-7 protection starting on his first day, according to documents released earlier this month by the EPA’s inspector general. Then-senior White House adviser Don Benton first ordered the round-the-clock detail on Feb. 12 out of concern that President Trump’s controversial policies could make Pruitt a target, emails obtained by The Washington Post show, and then Pruitt opted to maintain that level of protection.
As a result, the size of the administrator’s security entourage has tripled, and agents accompany him not only on official travel but also during weekend trips home to Tulsa and vacations to states such as Kentucky and California.
Given the new mandate delivered by the likes of Rep. Maxine Waters to disgruntled anti-Trump leftists, we may see more of the Trump administration’s members with full security protection, too.

Pruitt is a very effective leader. He needs to get his personal $hit together. We can’t give the RATs these avenues to attack on.

I watched the video and Pruitt was very indulgent of her. Too bad she didn’t get clocked by his security, but that’s probably why she was using her toddler as a human shield, typical leftist coward.

Yes, he is, and he’s very effective at what he’s doing. Trump needs a dozen of him, and not these worthless pr!cks like Wray and Tillerson. That is why he needs to be cleaner that The Pope in how he conducts his personal life. There is too much of this business where our leaders, good and bad, think they don’t have to follow all the rules. Trump needs to make it very clear that he needs them to ALWAYS be above reproach, because the Left is looking for ANY lever to push them out. I don’t know whether Pruitt is guilty or not, but he needs to be in a place where no one can call anything he does to question.

I think it’s common now....these people watch MSNBC and download the key-notes piece, and walk around all day reciting what so-and-so said. I started to notice that back in 2012.
