LANCASTER, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania police officer is seen on video using a stun gun on a man as he's sitting on a curb. Lancaster police says officers were called around 10 a.m. Thursday and told a man was confronting people with a bat.
Video posted to Facebook captured Officer Philip Bernot telling 27-year-old Sean Williams to sit on a sidewalk and stick his legs out. Bernot then uses his stun gun on Williams while the man is sitting, facing away from the officer.
Police told Lancaster Online another officer, Shannon Mazzante, arrived on the scene just after 10 a.m. and repeatedly told Williams to sit down on the sidewalk, but Williams didn't comply. Bernot then arrived to assist Williams. Williams is seen sitting on the curb as the video begins.
Police said Bernot warned Williams that if he continued to refuse commands, the Taser would be used on him, according to Lancaster Online. Williams appears to move his legs closer to his body before he is Tased. Williams tells WGAL-TV he followed all directions and doesn't know why he was shocked.

Oh and they told him to put his legs straight out and cross them, but instead he pulled them in, then pop, zap.

It’s pretty simple. Obey the officers commands. Be respectful. Comply. And settle things out in the courtroom.

They are weak relative to any man so they ALWAYS shoot before a male officer would.
CATO has a study that predicts something like a 2.5% increase in officer shootings for every 1% increase in female officers.
But never worry these are only men dying and that is a tiny price to pay for ‘equality’...

I didn’t see any reason to tase the guy in order to subdue him ... but I did not see the whole incident.

The man could not follow simple directions. This is what happens when one’s mind has been sabotaged by narcotics. Police can detect such short-circuited mentalities and have to treat them on an animal level. Otherwise, they will have an out of control animal to deal with.
Female cop told him to put his legs out straight, then cross them. Looked to me like he was attempting to comply... but he was tased anyway. Oh well.. the cop didn’t shoot him dead, so there’s that.
At the minimum the guy will be in court for resisting. (Resisting includes doing what a cop says but not what the cop means.) Is that when he makes his case? The judge will cut him off instantaneously and threaten contempt if he persists.

Hey, you are free to insult the cops, refuse to comply and throw a hissy fit if you desire. Just don’t cry when you get tased.
The cops are there to do a job; and 95+% of them do it profionally. A little respect goes a LONG way in establishing a very comfortable working relationship. I am armed and I have never had a problem when pulled over by an officer. Ever.
Why? Because I VOLUNTARILY turn on the interior lights, roll down my window. Place both hands on my steering wheel, Identify myself verbally and inform the officer I am armed, then ASK permission to retrieve my ID and permit. The l do so SLOWLY with 1 hand.
If you wanna be a punk, by all means. Suit yourself. Maybe you can get on video too
I rather doubt it. But there are a lot of violent thugs out there who refuse to obey police. Police put up with a lot of crap and unfortunately don't always make the right decisions - like this ridiculous tasing. The cop probably elected to not take any chances and just zap the guy so he could get it done faster. Cops are probably numb to all this stuff based on what they go through.
He disobeyed police orders and it looked like he may have begun attempting to get up.
