Alan Dershowitz, the lawyer and academic, has revealed he has been "shunned" by former friends on Martha's Vineyard because of his defence of President Donald Trump.
The 73-year-old former Harvard Law professor claims liberal elites have closed ranks to exclude him from their social circles on the wealthy Massachusetts island because of his defence of the president's civil liberties.
Mr Dershowitz, who famously defended OJ Simpson, has been a vocal critic of the decision to appoint a special counsel to investigate the US president for possible Russian collusion in the 2016 election.

Old style liberals are no longer welcome in a party taken over by the fringe left.
Their treatment of Dershowitz says a lot more about them than it says about him.

That’s something that’s bugged me forever. I can understand (well, somewhat) how an otherwise intelligent person could be swayed by the 24/7 leftist propaganda that the media churns out (including out-and-out lies as “news” stories, these days), but what I can’t understand is how they can look around at the criminals, perverts, low-IQ race baiters and mental defectives that constitute most of their party and not ever think “are these the people I really want to be associated with?”
Reminds me of when I was much much younger and would partake of the devils drink. I thought I had a ton of friends.
When I quit drinking I discovered they were quite obnoxious and not really friends at all. They were just drinkin’ buddies. Don’t miss em at all.
