Ugh, we don’t need Mexico’s problems.

We need the wall built yesterday. Station the military along it and don’t allow anyone across. ICE needs to be forced to get off their backsides and begin mass deportations immediately of all illegals whether they snuck over the border or somehow forgot to get the heck outta here when their visas expired. ICE also needs to shut down all new immigration until these past crimes are cleaned up.

After it’s cleaned up, limit all student and work visas severely and the first time one of them breaks the law they are immediately sent back.

No illegal protests or demands or them mouthing off. No free perks. They either make it on their own or they’re outta here. No more free charity or babysitting them with perpetual free lifetime care.

And drastically cut aid to other countries. Tough love. They need to grow up already.

You don’t need to invade Mexico for what you have in mind. You’re thinking with the wrong head.

Actually no. The economic model incents the cartels to control the illegals coming through their sector.

The tribute model implies that the cartels say “pay us or else.” Even if that was the deal, if illegals cross, they don’t get paid.

This is a better approach as we are simply outsourcing some of the ICE duties to “private security contractors.” We’re paying for a service, not paying extortion.

The liberals are crying about “Eliminate ICE!”

Let’s grant them their wish, but in a manner they don’t expect.

Do you know how many millions of Mexicans live in border towns like Nuevo Laredo and Cuidad Acuna? Do you know there are 1,954 miles of US/Mexico border?

For these 2 reason alones, a Buffer Zone would never work.

All that is needed to to just totally close the border, nothing in or out. All planes to Mexico grounded, nothing comes across in the way of trade and last but not least all financial transactions suspended, no money to send home.

Make it a colony. We can corner the avocado market and wipe out the cartels there at the same time.

CERTAINLY we have the LEGAL RIGHT to invade Mexico, since they cannot control their borders, nor halt the drug violence that spills over. It will only get WORSE when their new Marxist President causes FOOD SHORTAGES!

Start the wall at the Sierra Nevadas and straight north to Canada. The southern border is a given and we can loop it around El Paso. California can either unite with Mexico or go it on their own. They can keep Hawaii but we get Alaska. Puerto Rico should be given back to Spain whether they want it or not. Any of the other territories gives us any guff and they’re on their own. Might as well turn American Samoa into GITMO II. Guam just better make sure it doesn’t tip over.

If libs east of the Sierra Nevada wall don’t see the light, then they get walled off, too. I’ll supply the cornerstone for the wall around Austin.

Most Mexican food here originated in Texas so we’ll keep it.

It’s long past time we turn a blind eye to their military “accidentally” crossing over.

I doubt that Trump is interested in going in and having to kill thousands to millions of Mexicans. Because that is what it would take. It would make Afghanistan look like a cakewalk.

Yes. Insanity does not begin to describe it.

So, you WANT to invade Mexico.

I must assume you do, because you declare the author's conclusion, that we should NOT invade Mexico, as "insanity".

No problem, if that's what you actually mean.

A few years ago, #1 on Mexico’s GDP was oil. Remittances from the US was #2.

"Most Mexican food here originated in Texas so we’ll keep it."

I found out about that the first time I tried to order "Mexican Food" in Mexico City and couldn't find it anywhere in the city. What we call Mexican food, the Mexicans call "Tex-Mex" food, and Mexicans don't like or serve it.

We can thank Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (TX Rino) for allowing law suits against the wall during W’s time.

Well then, enclaves where illegals are detained out side the country an for sure not subject to the wildest defensse lawyer claim.

On capture the illegals would immediately deported to a transborder enclave

Stock the Rio Grande with gators and piranha.

Saw a show yesterday about vacationing in Big Bend NP. For $5, a Mexican in a row boat will take you from the US side to the Mexican side and back again. Hmm, those coyotes demanding $8k are over charging.
