Despite what many of us want to believe, President Donald Trump is the front-runner in 2020. If you supported him in 2016, you have little reason to regret your choice -- he's working hard to fulfill all his campaign promises. Sure, the polls often show that Trump's approval rating is underwater. But voters are a lot more than just data points graphed onto projections.
No incumbent president in recent history has presided over a strong economy, not been enmeshed in a ground war and lost the next election. So, for those of us who desperately want to see a new president, just telling ourselves that a majority of the voters in key states will see what we see and feel how we feel isn't enough to actually win. It's going to take more than the constant tearing of garments and endless howls of outrage to beat him. It's going to take an outside factor -- like Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement.
There's no easily foreseeable reason the Senate won't be able to confirm whomever Trump nominates. In theory, Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, could join the 49 Democrats and slow the process, but it may not be realistic to expect every Democrat to stick together, particularly ones up for re-election in red states....

CNN’s obituary for Donald Trump #4,745,320
I don’t understand why libs are so sure RvW is going to be overturned.
It probably won’t be. I’d be thrilled if it were, but it’s pretty unlikely.
The illegal alien inundation will be the determinant factor in 2020, not abortion.
If that is true, then the Left should support, encourage Trump to appoint an anti-Roe v Wade justice.
For the Left, the country must be about its main business — the killing of babies by the millions.
We’ve got him this time!
LOL! Aint that the truth.
It will then go back to the states.
Then politically, the best thing the Democrats can do is let Trump overturn Row v. Wade.
Trump downfall predictors are banking on the stopped-clock principle. One of them is bound to be right, they hope. Eventually.
I’ll stick my neck out, and predict he won’t last more than two terms as President.
That’s what second terms are for
CNN’s psychotic dream.
Just a scare tactic to get the Leftists motivated.
Abortion will never be Illegal in this Country, but it will be limited in scope if the SCOTUS is transformed from the Legislative Body it has become with Activist Liberal Justices who have no respect for the Constitution.
It’s not as devastating as it seems. It will simply go back to the states.
Even the most Trump hating lib will admit that no president in anyone’s lifetime has even come close to fulfilling their promises. No one else is even in the same league, Not Reagan, not Truman, no one.
HA! Presuming his pick gets confirmed by the end of summer, and then some state does something to restrict abortion, and the case goes to court, it will be well beyond two years before that case EVER makes it to SCOTUS.
Jump to conclusion much, idiot writer, whoever you are?
Truman didn’t really have to make promises, FDR just had to pass away.
Oops should read “No OTHER President ....”
Liberals are more worried about foreigners and killing children than anything else.
Those two subjects are their only concerns.
Foreigners are their importing of voters since Americans don’t want to vote for them, and they need the votes to keep up their killing of children.
