I’ll be that 0bama ordered those Navy guys not to fight back when they were hijacked on open seas.
They know that Trump is looking for an excuse to attack them.
Our fighting men and women enjoy the opportunity to test their skills now and then. Free targets are a nice gesture from the Iranians. With Trump in office, they are probably disappointed they don’t get more opportunities to play with their toys (now that they have been given permission).
Iran has enough problems internally.
They know if they screw up, those internal folks will be getting some sort of help from us too.
I think without a doubt, the US made it perfectly clear to these guys, behind the scene, that if they did that they’d be blown out of the water. I think Iran tried that a couple times early on.
No way Trump would allow these two bit operators to make him look bad.

they got the message that we wouldn’t put up with that, and secondly, that we’d respond with massive force. Iran would have no one coming to their aid, so for instance we blow five of their speed boats out of the water. Iran retaliates with some half @ss response someone, we’d then respond with overwelming force.
Actually, Iran is busy looking for some new clouds, since Israel *stole* theirs..../s.
I’ll never forget that shameful picture of that US Navy CO and his crew drinking juice boxes as if they were day care center kids taking a snack break.

You remember when 0bama got off at the back of the plane because the Chinese didn’t want to give him an appropriate and respectful welcome. That event seemed to embody what world leaders really thought of 0bama.
We all know if they ever pulled that stunt against Trump he would order AF-1 to taxi and takeoff right away. He’d also call for a U.S. fighter escort.
Iran hasn’t harassed our ships because they probably know with a fair degree of certainty that if they were to do such a thing, Trump would order Jim Mattis to order the Navy and the Air Force to sink the entire Iranian Navy, and destroy all of its port facilities, in one night...and the Navy and Air Force would do exactly that, with plenty of spare time.
The Iranians are evil, not stupid.
