The man drove at high speed across a pedestrian promenade at a seaside resort in northern Germany, before assaulting a police officer.
The 29-year-old male, who reports in German media say suffered from “psychological issues,” drove at considerable speed across a pedestrian area on the beach promenade in the resort town of Scharbeutz on the Baltic Sea in northern Germany on Thursday morning.
Pedestrians were forced to jump out of the way and luckily there were no serious injuries, reports northern German local daily Lübecker Nachrichten.
Police sources told German media there was no indication of terrorism. …
