Get ready for a surge of illegal migration courtesy of Mexico's new president
The Hill ^ | July 8, 2018 | John R Lott Jr

Posted on 07/08/2018 5:07:03 AM PDT by richardb72

Coasting to victory on promises to reign in rampant corruption, Mexican president-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador has sent shock waves through the Americas. Few realize that his election is likely to increase the number of low-income, low-skill illegal aliens coming to the United States.

Obrador admires Cuba and former Chilean socialist leader Salvador Allende. Venezuela’s socialist dictator Hugo Chávez helped with previous presidential campaigns by providing advisors and Venezuelan ambassador reportedly attended meetings with Obrador supporters.

While Mexican presidential candidates have long supported illegal aliens coming to the United States, Obrador’s rhetoric has been different. Instead of campaigning on the traditional promise that life in Mexico will improve so that people won’t have to leave their country, Obrador has been more direct: “We will defend… the migrants of the world who, by necessity, have to leave their villages to seek life in the United States; it is a human right that we will defend.”

Obrador’s party, The National Regeneration Movement (MORENA), has won solid majorities in both the lower and upper houses of Congress. Now, there may be no stopping this party’s radical left-wing agenda.

Just the threat of nationalizing companies will scare away foreign and domestic investment. While Obrador has promised not to increase taxes, there will surely be an increase in business regulations. Since President Trump took office, Americans have seen that attracting foreign investment increases the number of jobs, which in turn leads to higher salaries. Even before Obrador’s victory, some companies — such as Ford Motors — engaged in an about-face on planned car plants.

When the Mexican economy is faltering and the U.S. economy is booming, people get more determined to illegally cross the border. In recent decades, Cuban refugees have been desperate enough to brave shark-infested waters. Let’s hope that Mexico doesn't become yet.....

And this can be an issue every Democrat up for election this November election must answer for.
Trump will lead the way.

The American Left and the Mexican supremacists are going for the final solution - the replacement of the American population that just won't see their dream of a socialist, border-less world. If the socialist/communists are able to seize power in the US, the American grand experiment will be over and a corrupt, authoritarian government will make sure it is never challenged again.

Block all money transfers to Mexico. Make the illegals spend their ill-gotten cash in America.

That will help create jobs for Americans, and tax money for cities and states.

I wonder how much dough the Goldman Sachs clan donated towards Obrador’s campaign.

Mexico has been an aggressor country toward the U.S. for many years. With Obrador just elected it will just get worse. He is an America-hater and a liar and is in the pockets of the cartels.

Through the mechanism of a broken border, the ruling upper class of Mexico has effectively been setting U.S. immigration policy all on its own.

The financial and cultural assault upon the U.S. taxpayers and middle class continues. NAFTA is a part of that scheme. Mexico has a $51 billion trade surplus with us, not including the billions in cross-border cash transfers from illegals here who send non-taxed cash to families back home via complicit U.S. banks.

Mexico is already getting so much from us including the societal safety valve of an open border, that it is absolute madness to be even “talking” with them about anything else.

Make no mistake. Mexico is an enemy of the state. Economically. Socially. Culturally. And criminally.

The U.S. needs to stop self-flagellating. We need a declaration of war.

Give the enemy one chance to save face. Then, when the U.S. military has neutralized the cartels and corrupted national government, and the example has been set, illegal immigration as we know it will end, and Mexico, through occupation, will be put back on track to become the self-sufficient country it has the natural resources to be.

Years ago the CIA would have been directed to destabilize this new dictator and support a home-grown pro-America movement in-country. Not so sure that could happen anymore, seeing as how we now have a CIA that’s been politically compromised by the left.

Mexico has never gotten over American troops marching through Mexico City in the war. One way or another it will happen again.

I heard that too. Contradictory statements are common when MSM reporting.

There are lots of really rich Mexicans to rob from with higher taxes.

What an awesome president!! Since your peopes’ Problems by telling them their best move is to impose on another country!!

All this does is cement the notion that Mexico is a backwards, third world country without the mental horsepower to solve their own problems.

Hey, meh-hee-ko, the pride is back!!

AMLO is just like Hugo Chavez. Even Hispanics we know are telling us that. He is going to wreck the already super weak economy just like Chavez did and we will see thousands of desperate people who voted for him trying to leave shortly. They will come here and their offspring will vote us into the same disastrous end result, just what the Democrat leftists want. After that, we have no place to go.
