Frankly, Mitch McConnell, like him or not, knows what he's talking about. If Barrett, as he says, makes Murkowski and Collins uneasy, it would be unwise to pick her. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and having the nominee fail and Democrats win control of the Senate in November is a scenario that has to be avoided at all cost. If the GOP wins seats in the Senate this November, then maybe you can go all-in on Ginsburg's replacement if she finally croaks.

Don't blame McConnell for Collins and Murkowski. It's not his fault he has to put up with them.

Getting a solid constitutional conservative through as quickly as possible is crucial to holding the new course we are on and getting us through the election. It’s a good list and the other names can be kept for next couple of times around, which actuarial science says should be coming up pretty soon.

Hope not, but this could be Trump’s last SCOTUS justice. So he better choose an originalist who won’t go soft.

McConnell saved us from Garland. I will trust him on this one.

“Murkowski and Collins”

You mean two of the most liberal, turncoat, traitors claiming to be Republicans in office today?

Mitch needs to be having daily meetings with these two to help them understand the Republican platform, not coddling them. If they don’t like what Republicans (and the conservative base that gets them elected) have in mind - they need to just be honest and change their party affiliation to “D” anyway.
