So teachers can't carry guns, says the left...but this WAITRESS could very well have saved a life because SHE had a gun.

Did ANYONE ask the camera hogs if they approve?

The perp was wearing a lanyard, indicating he has a job somewhere. What the hell gets into people?

Talk to any waitress who ever worked the bar-closing shift at Denny’s or IHOP. You NEED to be armed!

I think I would have fired. Not sure but pretty sure. At least once to keep him there until the cops could collect him easily.

But, But, But, I read this morning that CCW defensive use was a myth.

Banglist 'ping'

Added banglist to your keywords.

You can bet she would have been next if she hadn't have pulled the gun. That waste of oxygen doesn't deserve to live another day.

Need to tell Gabby Giffords about this event that she says “is a myth” that doesn’t happen.

WOW, good for her. Unfortunately she “quit” that night and thus will lose money over this. Suspect still at large? Hopefully he gets caught soon and spends a few years in jail to think about his violent nature. Because he was so large, this encounter was clearly life threatening and would have supported the use of deadly force to repel him if he took one step towards her.

Myth: Private ownership of guns is not effective in preventing crime

Fact: Every year, people in the United States use guns to defend themselves against criminals an estimated 2,500,000 times – more than 6,500 people a day, or once every 13 seconds. Of these instances, 15.7% of the people using firearms defensively stated that they “almost certainly” saved their lives by doing so.

Fact: Even the government’s estimate, which has a major methodology problem, estimates people defend themselves 235,700 times each year with guns.

Fact: The number of times per year an American uses a firearm to deter a home invasion alone is 498,000.

Fact: In 83.5% (2,087,500) of these successful gun defenses, the attacker either threatened or used force first, proving that guns are very well suited for self-defense.

Fact: The rate of defensive gun use (DGU) is six times that of criminal gun use.

Fact: Of the 2,500,000 times citizens use guns to defend themselves, 92% merely brandish their gun or fire a warning shot to scare off their attackers.

Fact: In most of the remaining 8% of defensive gun uses, a citizen never wounds his or her attacker (they fire warning shots), and in less than one in a thousand instances is the attacker killed.

Fact: In one local review of firearm homicide, more than 12% were civilian legal defensive homicides.

Fact: For every accidental death (802), suicide (16,869) or homicide (11,348) 9 with a firearm (29,019), 13 lives (390,000) are preserved through defensive use.

Fact: When using guns in self-defense, 91.1% of the time, not a single shot is fired.

On one level I agree. But on another level, if you get compliance and backing down by just aiming and loud, direct commands you have less legal bills and less stress.

George Webb’s is a local Milwaukee restaurant chain that has operated in Milwaukee for about seventy-five or eighty years now. It is an old fashioned type of establishment that has defied the Ray Kroc/McDonald’s business model. This is the way that hamburgers and breakfast meals used to be.

In order to compete, Webb’s operates in many industrial neighborhoods and many stores are open twenty-four hours. Because of the type of customers one finds during the late night (drunks and thugs), the restaurant installed security cameras and after 10 pm all customers are asked to prepay for their orders.

I am sorry for both women, the one was brutalized and the other who came to her assistance and caused the thug to back off by pointing her legal weapon decided to leave her job. At last report the criminal who entered the kitchen was still at large.

This video ought to be widely circulated by proponents of gun permits.
