BORIS SPEAKS: ‘Brexit is Dying, White Flags Are Fluttering, May Deal Will Make Britain an EU Colony’
Breitbart (London) ^ | 9 Jul 2018 | Jack Montgomery

Posted on 07/10/2018 5:30:05 AM PDT by Texas Fossil

Ex-Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has absolutely excoriated Theresa May and her Brexit strategy in his resignation letter, warning that Brexit is “dying” and Britain is “headed for the status of colony”.

The former Mayor of London’s resignation followed that of David Davis, who had been Secretary of State at the newly-created Department for Exiting the European Union and was at least nominally in charge of the negotiations with the EU.

Davis felt he could not defend the ultra-soft Brexit vision imposed by May at a Cabinet away day in the prime ministerial estate of Chequers, as it left Brussels and its courts with far too much power over Britain’s laws, regulations, and trade policy.

While the Brexit Secretary was firm but measured in his public statements, Johnson’s letter is an astonishing and direct attack on the Prime Minister, of a type which has not been seen from a senior minister in at least a generation.

The Guardianistas must be happy. They were worried they were going to become a colony of the US.

May it please God for May not to still be PM when President Trump arrives.

That would be hilarious.

The leftists at the Guardian are full of it. The US does not want colonies, they cost too much. smile.

Colony of the US vs Colony of the EU?

No brainer.

If England and the UK survives they must deal with the immigration red poison pill. Even now, Germany will not do it. Total insanity.

They are trying to make it fail so they can find a way to stay in.

You expect the Guardianistas to use sense and perspective? I only read the comments for the laughs.

Trump is probably wasting his time visiting Britain and spending time with Theresa ( soon to be looking for employment) May. Then again he might get a good sense of what Britain has become and realize that his initial instinct to leave NATO was correct. Americans should never again sacrifice blood and treasure on behalf of Western Europe. Washington was right. These costly foreign entanglements do nothing to enhance the security of the American people and have only created needless bitter enemies.

Does Pres. Trump want US out of NATO?

Anyway, he’ll see what a PC Islamicized rights-free basket case the UK has become, and return more determined than ever to keep us Constitutional.

Wouldn’t put it past Theresa May to greet him in hijab.

How does Canada fit into all this?

I know PM Zoolander is an idiot- but I’ve never quite understood how Canada is still related to England.

I mean they still have the Queen on their money and everything.

Change in governance is not something you slow walk. Doing so is to run the engine out of fuel, all the while taking the foot off the accelerator and installing uphill S-Turns.

his initial instinct to leave NATO was correct. Americans should never again sacrifice blood and treasure on behalf of Western Europe.

Those countries, UK in particular, have become police states. Military alliances with them now make as much sense as an alliance with East Germany.

I’m honestly not sure either. Canada is socialist, but not quite like England.

I don’t get excited about any kind of Monarchy. However remote.

We have our own problems with the lefties.

I’m not sure about the strategic placement of Puerto Rico. Past that, it is a problem. And many of them don’t seem to like the US that much.
