Now I’m concerned. Why is this corpse helping Trump, whom he hates?
To: Trump20162020
He should resign just out of common decency and the good of the country. He is not representing the good people of Arizona. I guess his ego is just too big.

McCain would never do anything good for the USA.

There exist air ambulances, and private nurses, and private hospital suites. McCain can easily afford the best. Let him fly in for the vote. Let him be wheeled into the Senate with oxygen tubes and nurses. It would make for dramatic theater, steal the spotlight, and be sure to please the old ham and "Maverick" himself. I would even forgive him and wish him a peaceful death.

McCain knows he isn’t returning to DC and can no longer perform his responsibility to the people who elected him, misguided as they were. Why on earth would he not give up his seat? (Rhetorical question. Its because he is a complete ass and hates Trump.)

Quid pro quo: you want your guy, you let me pick who gets the seat and I’ll make sure he gets a “yes” vote.

In this day and age, why are’t legislators able to vote from home? With witnesses, including reporters to ensure the vote isn’t forced.

On one hand, Gabby Giffords hates Kavanaugh.
On the other hand, John McCain likes him.
I am so torn.

“Some word” from who? Not from John McCain, who we have not heard a word from since December.

BULL SHIT The confirmation vote will be held in September AFTER THE ARIZONA PRIMARY ELECTION. McCain is holding off resigning until after the primary so Governor Ducey wont be adversely affected by who he chooses to be McCain;s replacement. I strongly suspect that Ducey and McCain have already agreed who will be the replacement.

Theres some word that if McCain is not able to vote and his vote is needed, he might resign and let someone appoint a senator who would support this judge. NOW he does it? Where has this bull-kaka been for the past few months????? A typical hypocrite to the end.

What a diaper load. The right thing to do was to resign at the first of the year when he knew he was done. We haven’t had full senate representation in AZ this year at all and only half-ass representation before that. Plus our other senator is a full blown leftist RINO.
No. McLame the RINOsaurus had plenty of chances to do right by AZ and America in general before this. He doesn’t get to look good now for doing the inevitable.
I want to see him prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I don’t care if he’s dead. I want his crimes on the record for all of history to see and know about. Move over Benedict Arnold; there’s a new worst American traitor. I want to know how many Americans and other nationalities he got killed by his shenanigans.

I agree that it's the right time to resign...and I do not believe his wife is in any way...a political animal and would want his seat.
I'm sure she has a huge portfolio which she doesn't want to disclose or put in trust.
She did make John sign a pre-nup.

If Mister McCain chooses to resign in order to promote the confirmation of a great SCOTUS nominee, he might (might) be rescuing a smidgen (smidgen) of a pro-America legacy.
He has a mountain of negatives to overcome, but at least it could be departing on a high note.

let someone appoint a senator who would support this judge.I think someone is the Governor and the likely senator would be, let me guess...she shares the same last name as the current senator.

He’s now in a perfect negotiating position, take the deal to appoint Cindy as replacement or I’ll vote against your guy.
