The “Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018,” legislation introduced in the House, carries a potential 15-year prison sentence for those caught engaging in behaviors typically associated with the “antifa” movement of anti-fascist activists.
Under the act, anyone “wearing a mask” or in disguise who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person … in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege” is subject to a fine or up to 15 years in prison.
The bill was introduced in the House last month but received renewed attention on Tuesday after alt-right personality Mike Cernovich encouraged his followers to call their representatives and "let them know what you think" about the legislation.
Antifa activists, who often wear masks and engage in a multitude of actions, have gained nationwide attention for engaging in violent clashes. Many activists in the movement have garnered attention for disrupting actions planned by white supremacist groups.
The bill was introduced by Republican Rep. Dan Donovan (N.Y.) and is co-sponsored by GOP Reps. Peter King (N.Y.), Paul Gosar (Ariz.) and Ted Budd (N.C.).
The bill is currently in the House Judiciary Committee.

It’s reasoning is every bit stronger and more moral than so called “hate crimes”. While a “hate” crime is nothing other than a tohught crime added to some act that is already criminal and really has no need to, and is morally wrong to attach an addiitonal crime of nothing but the motive as a sperate crime. Nowhere else that I know of, but with so-called “hate crimes”, are motivs considerred additional crimes all by themselves. In the antifa case, the defendant is being charged in essence with attempting to hided their identity duringt the commission of acts for which they could be charged with a violation of the law. To ease passage of the law, they could be sure the language was “incident neutral” and would include “masked robbers” and “masked attackers” of any kind. That would free it, politically, from being denied passage as mere “politically motivated”.

Alt-right is a pejorative invented by the left to smear the center. Normal people are slurred by calling them “followers.”

We have laws against making threats against the President...they aren’t enforced. They will be looked at as little children. Personally I say round them up and Semitic them to 3 years on a golf range gathering golf balls without padding.
