Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh amassed tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt in part by purchasing baseball tickets to Washington Nationals games, according to a Washington Post review of Kavanaugh’s financial disclosures and information provided by the White House.

Kavanaugh has reported having up to $200,000 in credit card debt during the past 10 years, according to the Post's report. In 2006 — the year he was confirmed as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — he reported having between $60,000 to $200,000 in debt.

STOP THE PRESSES! The guy is like most Americans - a bit too spendthrift with the credit cards.

If this was your typical crooked Dem, you can bet your butt that he would have gotten these tickets for free and then some. Now, that might be a story.

If somebody spent $200,000 buying him tickets, I’d care.

But buying his own is somehow a scandal?

Season Tickets perhaps?

Can be very expensive for multiple seats.

Did he pay the bill? Seems so.

So . . . let me get this straight.

Buying a lot of stuff you want on a credit card is bad.
Killing babies is good.

Let me think about that . . . hmm. Nah.

Did he pay it off as required? If so perhaps we talk about all the charges that Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg incurred flying to and from Moscow in the 60s and 70s.

I certainly don’t think this should prevent his confirmation, but this guy is supposed to be smart, and accumulating $60K or more of credit card debt is dumb.

I'm sure he raped 12 yr old black kids too....

And ran over some woman in his SUV....and drove off...

And has a illegal alien doing his gardening....

The left is driving off more people from the "D" party than they know.................

So he spent beyond his means?

That describes a lot of Americans. Debt is part of life.

If the Left’s attack line against Kavanaugh, they’ve got nothing.

His net worth was reported as extremely low.

Now we know where all the money went. At least it’s nothing to be ashamed of, other than the extravagance of it.

If you’re a senior Federal judge and have only a few thousand in savings, perhaps you should consider putting some money in the bank every month.

$200,000 at one time, or $200,000 cumulative over many years, as he used his cards for major purchases to earn cash-back, airline points, etc.

One of my friends bought a car on her credit card ... like $30,000. They paid it off a few months later when her husband got his annual bonus.
