Palin appeared on ABC's “Good Morning America” on Friday to talk about the interview Baron Cohen staged for his new Showtime satirical series “Who is America?”
The former governor of Alaska told host Robin Roberts that Baron Cohen showed her “propaganda” about sex changes and transgender people and claimed that Chelsea Clinton was the “recipient of a government-funded sex change.”
“It got worse and worse and worse as the minutes went on in this bizarre, really embarrassing, humiliating interview,” Palin said. “It mocked middle class Americans, it mocked our values, it mocked the disabled.”
Palin said she had had “enough," took off her microphone and walked out of the interview.
“Since then, nobody returns my call,” Palin said, adding that Baron Cohen's producers had given her fake names and described the show as a Showtime documentary. She said the producers reached out to her through a speakers' bureau.
Palin said Baron Cohen was portraying himself as an injured military veteran. “Good Morning America” said that the producers refused to turn over a clip to verify her claim.

Sasha Baron Cohen has been doing this bit for years. Since he does interviews with famous people he's using Speaker Bureaus to book guests.
My questions are:
Are these Speaker Bureaus being duped by Sasha Baron Cohen or are these Speaker Bureaus knowingly and actively booking guests for Sasha Baron Cohen knowing what Sasha Baron Cohen is doing?
Palin should name this Speaker Bureaus so we can find out if they're being tricked or aiding and abetting Sasha Baron Cohen.

Given his overall reputation and past behavior, why the hell would anyone agree to an interview with Sasha Baron Cohen?
This guy’s 15 minutes of fame ended some time ago. Let’s not keep him in the limelight.
He got about a minute into his spiel as Ali G with Trump before Trump mocked him, took off the mic and got up and left.

Honestly, after Borat there is NO reason he should be getting away with this.
You have people who are paid to vet people. Have them do their jobs, or fire them.
He was disguised / impersonating a wounded vet.
I don’t think the subjects of the interviews are being told that they’re meeting Cohen. They’re told they will be interviewed by the alter ego, in this case a disabled vet.
I don’t think the interviewees know that it is Sasha Baron Cohen, at least not at first. The fact that he goes through speaker bureaus I think adds credibility to the process. I’m sure the interview starts off in a way that seems legit before venturing off into absurdity.
If you’re astute, you pick up quickly and remove yourself from the interview, like Gov. Palin, but I think that his shtick works because some people are polite, already there, and don’t want to insult the interviewer so they stay and get roped into the briar patch.
In the end, all that footage is edited for maximum effect, so even if you ended the interview quickly, there’s probably footage that can be twisted to make you look bad, or at least be used in promotional material to increase potential viewers.
She should run for McCain’s seat.
Its too bad people can no longer respond with a good old fashioned ass whipping.
Speaker Bureaus are arraigning these interviews.
Are they being duped by Cohen or are in on the gag?
If these Speaker Bureaus are knowingly setting up these interviews they need to be named and exposed.
If they're in on the gag they should be charged with fraud.

Back when Cohen was doing his Ali G show, he tried to interview Trump. Trump thought that “Ali G” was a twit and wasting his time, so he just walked away during the interview.
It would be great if Dakota Meyer cracked open Sashay’s noggin like an egg...
We’ve been through this 3 times on FR. He uses fake names, fake companies (in this case, I guess, a Veterans’ Charity) and disguises.
Why don’t you ask THEM? Obviously nobody here knows.
And she had paid her own way, thinking this was for a wounded warrior. Cohen is beneath contempt and should never be able to make another dime in the USA.
