Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton implied that the potential confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court would bring the United States back to the times of slavery during a speech on Friday.
“I used to worry that they wanted to turn the clock back to the 1950s. Now, I worry they want to turn it back to the 1850s. These will be urgent fights. Stakes could not be higher,” she said during her speech at the American Federation of Teachers.
“This nomination holds out the threat of devastating consequences for workers’ rights, civil rights, LGBT rights, women’s rights, including those to make our own health decisions,” Clinton continued. “It is a blatant attempt by this administration to shift the balance of the Court for decades and to reverse decades of progress.”

It is an obvious responsible move by this administration to shift the court back to supporting the Constitution and our laws AS WRITTEN. To move toward ending the SCOTUS from being used as a platform for JUDICIAL ACTIVISM from radical leftist justices. To restore the founder’s intent for the SCOTUS to be an UNBIASED arbiter of the RULE OF LAW.

I don’t know if Hillary is just ignorant or simply pandering to her low IQ supporters.
Even after the Civil War the legislature nor the courts could free slaves. It took a Constitutional amendment to do that.
The Supreme Court can not overturn a Constitutional amendment (even if they wanted to and there is no evidence anyone wants to).
So she is pandering.
Now if she said they could overturn the Civil Right laws of the 1960s which in fact took away individual rights as to whom they would associate with, she may have a point.

That’s about as scary a statement as one can imagine.
Hillary is pandering. She has not thought through the nuances or legal basis for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She’s not really that smart though we are told she’s the smartest woman in the world.
