That’s what I’m thinking. Babies are subjected to so many vaccines for their little bodies to combat it’s a wonder the death numbers aren’t high.
The following is likely why this child was not immune.
A certain percentage of people will not develop antibodies when exposed to a vaccine. The prevention of the spread of a communicable disease is due to “herd immunity”. If enough people in the “herd” have antibodies then the disease has little opportunity to spread.
Two examples:
1) I have been through the full series of Hep B vaccination, I never developed antibodies and am just as susceptible to the disease as someone who is unvaccinated.
2) A friend's child contracted measles even though he was fully vaccinated. He likely caught the disease from someone who was either never vaccinated against measles or, like him, had been vaccinated but never responded with antibodies.

The govt will [know they would] lose this case because the reaction happened 48 hrs after exposure. If the bad vaccine reaction is farther away from the time of vaccination, the govt wins. They will be paying off this one. Oh, sorry: YOU AND I will be paying it off. Cases like this one with quick, obvious reactions are the ones who get $ from the vaccine damage fund.
Unless they actually find a kid at that daycare with meningitis, in which case the gov has a chance of skating.

I re-read the linked article kiddo. I don’t find anything that says the vaccinations were related to or consisted of any meningitis vaccine.
I had a business friend that lost his son at five months from the same thing 25 years ago.
The Hib vaccine is given to prevent some kinds of meningitis at the 4 month checkup. Among many other vaccines.
Had to look up the vaccination schedules - the child may have received the second dose for meningitis at the 4 month mark (2 days before becoming ill)- the story doesn’t make it clear that there was an un-vaccinated person/carrier in close contact - one might wonder if young systems aren’t being overtaxed with some of these vaccinations.

The government will pay out millions quietly to this family because of the short two day span between vaccine and vaccine injury. This is a winning case so it won’t get to court. We may not ever hear about too, because our government doesn’t consider itself accountable to us, does it? Expensive wealthy winning attorneys on both sides, despite what the government is making their media mouthpiece say, consider the short time between vaccine and death crucial to paying out.
Myself and other FReepers who have privately mailed me have children who have potential permanent brain damage from a vaccine but the damage wasn’t instant and clear like this poor family. No one is liable except the parents who did what the government told us to. At least hundreds do get injured from too much “medicine” too early or when their immune systems aren’t ready. Like any other iatrogenic death.
But I am too stupid to have carefully researched all this.
