You can of course legally paraphrase the gist of the article else why bother reading it?

The first paragraph the article does just that.

If it were a video, I would have summarized it.

The NASA SES and Civil Servant (oxymoron) Union fear Jim Bridenstine and Trump. They know a lot of wasting money to stack CS workers in the closets is coming to an end.

You can smell it in their sweat.

NASA will not have a strong role to play in formulation and/or policy in running a Space Force. That will fully fall under unified US Military Command.

“If you look at what space is, it’s not that much different than the ocean,” added Bridenstine, who made 333 aircraft-carrier landings as a Navy pilot. “It’s an international domain that has commerce that needs to be protected.”

Damn right. Commerce is overhead us, in space, and needs to be protected. Because the Chinese and others will be trying to bully us from overhead. The sooner we get organized to protect us, the better. Otherwise, we go the way of other former powers who lost perspective on protecting their shores.
