Mike Pence is coming to California to campaign for John Cox (GOP not giving up on the state yet)

An interested reader sent us the following panicky email from California's Gavin Newsom for Governor campaign.  Get a load:

That's weird stuff, indeed, given the punditocracy's comfortable assertion that Republican John Cox, who's challenging Democrat Gavin Newsom for the governor's seat in California, hasn't got a snowball's chance in Death Valley of getting elected.  After all, isn't California the immutable blue state?  The state that will never vote red?  Don't Democrat voter registrations outnumber Republican registrations twenty to one?  The state with all those Democratic Party voter registrations, buttressed by its motor voter law, registering all comers, illegal or otherwise?

Trump himself has repeatedly stated he doesn't visit states much if he's got a solid lead in the internal polling.  He made just those remarks in speeches to South Carolina and Montana, which were rollicking fun to listen to...well, if you're a Republican.  It would make sense that his team wouldn't bother with states where a Republican candidate is certain to lose.

That's true especially with Vice President Mike Pence, who's a rather important part of the Trump team and the only guy on it with a political base of his own who can't be fired.  Trump would send someone that significant to California?  To waste his time?  To talk to nonexistent Republican voters?

Not if it were a losing race.

It says a lot about how full of surprises this midterm election might just become.  The Pence decision would have been based on internal polling suggesting that the Democrats' blue wave isn't all it's cracked up to be.  Already the results were there in the primaries, and we can also see it in the Democrats' squabbles over leadership.  Today I wrote about how many of their supposed brightest stars are brimming with fake followers.

This may be more about forcing the Dems to put money into the gov race that might otherwise be spent in key congressional contests. Cox is the longest of long shots. The only way I could see Cox even coming close would be to somehow successfully turn the race into a referendum on some pocketbook issue like the gas tax.

People are moving out of California by the hundreds of thousands!!

People are not happy in the Liberal cesspool of CA!

Voter fraud has kept the Liberal Marxist human debris in office.

Based on your implication, if the leftist keep bailing out of CA, Texas and the rest of the surrounding states will become leftist, while CA incrementally becomes the state it once was.

If so, lets hope the trend continues!☺

“...turn the race into a referendum on some pocketbook issue like the gas tax....”

Yeah, and include auto registration tax, property tax, sales tax, closed container tax, bag tax, tax, tax, tax.......

All at confiscatory levels....

I wonder if the illegals will take up the slack of the middle class that are leaving.

Would it be too much to ask that CA loose a few dozen electoral votes with this exodus.

Learning from the problem that Pres. Trump has had to deal with an obstructionist, uniparty Congress for his first two years in office, California patriots not only need to elect Cox, but they also need to elect a new state legislature that will support Cox.

It would be great if Cox and a supportive legislature could find new revenues for California by doing the following.

California needs to help put a stop to unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, by supporting Pres. Trump in leading the states to repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.

To brand the entire state that way is incorrect. There are a lot of Conservatives in California despite the false claims that the entire state is Liberal. There are many on FR who live in CA! Check the voting map of CA in 2016, county by county, and you will see large red areas.

California is the RAT model for voter fraud!! That’s why The Witch had so many votes in CA. She did not win the popular vote! Thank you RAT voter fraud. The GOP better get a handle on voter fraud all over this nation and fast.

There are pockets of Liberal human waste in Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Arizona, etc. They’re everywhere like lice.

“California is the RAT model for voter fraud!!”

And that’s the answer.

Two million illegals in California?

Double that, easy.

In LA, armies of them vote and that’s been documented...unlike them.

When Sleepy Jeff wakes up he could go on the judicial crusade of all crusades and go after the California Secretary of State, all the Rat party County Clerks cooking the voter rolls, and then go after the armies of illegal voters who vote as often as they need to until some foreign national ends up in one of our official elected positions.

But he hasn’t.

Funny thing, that. His boss knew that’s where the so called Hillary popular vote margin came from. He’s right.

And that is the secret to unlocking California...for maybe a few more years.

After that, the Anchor Babies and the continuing wave of aliens from Socialist Hellholes taking up residence in our State (and making us pay for it) will make it impossible without all out conflict.

This is the greatest mission Don Trump has. Save the Southwest for America and the Americans, and thus the world, or lose it forever to the frozen faced La Raza Bolsheviks, the children of Chavez, Fidel and Che.

I believe that POTUS, Donald J. Trump will campaign in California for a number of different important purposes. He should do the same with New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, etc. Trump will campaign in at least thirty states this election cycle which his campaign has confirmed. Go, Trumpie!!! Go, Trumpie & MAGA

The Dems just HATE free and fair elections.

They never seem to understand that THEIR votes are diluted as well; and, that there will come a time that THEY will not agree with the ruling Marxists (think major drug gang presence, property confiscation, govt spying on citizens and stacks of new laws that even progressives consider burdensome) and that it just might be way beyond too late for voters to have any say about anything.

I would love to be wrong about this, btw.

Perhaps the millions of retired Deplorables will have to take the issue of Voter Fraud and make it a priority by organizing hundreds of thousands of volunteers to document and expose it, demand prosecution, and prison time for all those found guilty. Call it a Deplorable Army Against Voter Fraud.

Pence is going to get eaten alive here. The animosity and hate for Trump and Pence in this state is overwhelming. John Cox is dead in the water already. Newsome will win with no less than 70%

Hope Pence shows up with a battalion of ICE who arrest all the illegal protestors. That would send the California Marxist scum over the cliff.

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

“One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything. Never!”
